Got a call at work from someone saying they were with Nat West, asking for personal info and names. We refused to share anything and asked for the manager to speak to the "bank." As soon as we said that, the line went dead. Total scam, watch out for this!

Got a call from some bloke who said he’d been told to contact someone at the company. When I asked for more details, he told me it was confidential and wouldn’t say anything else. From what I’ve seen before, it sounded like one of those recruitment agents trying to headhunt.

Got a call from some bloke with a West Midlands accent claiming to be from the RSPCA. He said they’d found my missing cat but I had to pay a £20 vet fee first. I immediately suspected it was a con. When I challenged him, he started threatening me, saying he knew where I lived and was going to come and sort me out. I've handed everything over to the police.

Got a call off some joker claiming to be from the rspca saying my cat had been hit by a car. He asked for my insurance info, probably trying to con me. Odd thing was, he didn’t even know where the rspca was based and told me to just look it up online. Proper nasty bloke.

Got calls from this number three times within a few hours, reckon they liked the sound of my voice or something. Tried to track it down but it just comes up as anonymous. Seems like they’re using some kind of keypad trick to mask the true number. Pretty sure it’s one of those scam firms or dodgy salespeople who don’t want you to ring back or work out where they’re really calling from.

Oh goodness, they rang me up not once but twice in the wee hours, around 1 AM! They even left a cheeky message saying, "I've been thinking of you, I apologise." Quite the comedy, isn’t it?

I had a similar experience to what Alicia mentioned. They went so far as to ring my son, implying that I was to be served, without being upfront about the fact that I might be facing a lawsuit. They provided a "file number" rather than a proper case number, which raised my suspicions. I've received a call of this nature not long ago, so it feels like yet another scam to me. They left a contact number, 833-363-4283, but I simply chose to disregard it and treat myself to some ice cream instead.

Received a rather odd phone call stating that I ought to contact the clerk's office. What struck me as particularly unsettling was when they mentioned my childhood address from a different part of the country. It felt quite bizarre and a bit alarming, to be honest. The caller had a pronounced Mexican accent, which added to the strangeness of the situation.

I keep getting calls from this number claiming they're from my local county office and that they're trying to deliver some court papers to me. They keep insisting they’ll be showing up at my home or workplace to hand them over, and they mention I need to have my ID ready along with someone to sign for the delivery. To be honest, I'm feeling quite unnerved by all this, especially considering I've only just relocated to this area and I’ve got no outstanding issues or anything here. What’s particularly frustrating is that they keep urging me to ring them back, but every number they provide is missing a digit, so I can't even get in touch. It’s all rather unsettling, to say the least!

I received a rather unpleasant phone call this evening from the number +266 696687. The caller was quite abrasive, insisting that she needed to talk to my husband. She seemed quite furious when I explained that I wouldn’t put her through. Quite a strange encounter, to say the least!

I've been receiving calls from this peculiar 9-digit number. Initially, the callers seemed to be propositioning me, asking if I fancied some sort of encounter, completely oblivious to who they were. I told them flat out, "Absolutely not, do not bother me again." This was back on 17th February 2017. Then, lo and behold, they rang again on 20th February at around twenty to four in the afternoon. I firmly repeated my stance, saying "no" once more. Oddly enough, I had a visitor over that day (not a peep from this number) and after a few bizarre discussions, it dawned on me that this guest was none other than the very same individual attempting to reach me through the aforementioned number! It feels as if I'm being persecuted by whoever is behind this line! To top it all off, there's this so-called 'friend' of mine who's recently been through some rough patches and claimed to be in 'rehab' - apparently using this number to keep tabs on me. We had a relationship that I ended, and now this has spiralled into a real headache. I'm at a loss about what to do next. One question I have is: how on earth can someone place a call from a 9-digit phone number?

I received a rather curious call from this number earlier. The line connected for a brief moment before it cut off, and shortly after, a call came through from a "Private Number." Quite peculiar, really! A woman was on the other end, inquiring about my role at Redfin, the estate agency. She mentioned she was based in Georgia and was about to take up a position as an Associate Agent, seeking some insights from me. I informed her that I'm not actually in that role, but she was rather pleasant throughout the conversation - not at all off-putting or uncomfortable. Perhaps it was an old acquaintance attempting to suss out my employment details? How amusing! Just take care, you know? Cheers!

So, there was this chap named "Paul" who stumbled upon my number while browsing a therapist's website. He rang me up, keen to arrange an appointment. Unfortunately, I wasn't in a position to sort it out on the spot, so I enquired if this was indeed the best number to get in touch with him. He confirmed it was. Later on, I took another gander at the number and noted it only had 9 digits. Out of curiosity, I did a quick search online and ended up on this site.

As a property consultant based in the Bay Area, I got a call from this number on Monday, 18th July 2016. The chap, named John, kicked off the conversation by inquiring about one of my listings, referencing the specific address. I interrupted him to ascertain whether he was a real estate professional or a potential buyer. He then posed a question about how accessible the property was for viewings, which piqued my interest, as I usually hold back on sharing such details with strangers. I began to pose some questions of my own, and he was relatively open. He mentioned cruising through the neighbourhood on the Sunday evening around six and indicated he was relocating from LA. I asked him when he might like to come and view the house, and he said “maybe this weekend.” That sounded promising. However, I soon realised his phone number was incomplete. Upon mentioning this and asking for the full number, we suddenly got disconnected. Quite odd, I must say!

Cheers to J Brown for shedding some light on this. I've been receiving calls from this number for several days now, but I've chosen to ignore them. Additionally, I've noticed calls from numbers with a ridiculous amount of digits, often 12 to 15! I’m seriously considering getting a call blocking app to sort out this hassle and put an end to these nuisance calls.

Today, I received a couple of calls from a merchant services line, specifically the number (888) 435-7078, at around 4:35 PM and then again at 6:43 PM EST. Shortly after the second call, a suspicious number (266) 696-6877 rang me, right when I chose not to pick up the earlier solicitation. The voicemail that followed was clearly a pre-recorded message, captivatingly initiated with, "This is Dereck, and your business is pre-approved for a loan..." It’s evident that these numbers are somehow connected. Honestly, anyone who resorts to phone spoofing is likely involved in some dodgy dealings; they are nothing but a blight on society, undeserving of the opportunities granted to them. One can only hope that the malevolent motives behind their actions will engulf them and ruin everything they hold dear. To be frank, I feel they ought to face serious repercussions, perhaps even something drastic in public view. What are your thoughts?

At around 2am, my phone rang from the number (266) 696-687, but I ignored it as I was fast asleep and didn't recognise the caller. I’m quite relieved to have come across this info regarding that peculiar number. I received a call from it just yesterday and opted not to answer given how suspicious it appeared. Now, it seems they’ve managed to track down my details on Trulia, as I work in real estate. I received a call from that same number earlier and, to be honest, I wasn’t really tuned in until after I picked up. I initially thought it might be one of my children ringing from a mate’s phone, but once I said “hello,” I was greeted with some rather crude language and a question about a rather inappropriate subject. It was so shocking that I hung up straight away and then looked up the number online. That’s how I stumbled upon this website. So, what now? What steps should I take next?

I had a couple of calls from this number last night around 9pm. On the second attempt, I decided to pick up. There was a chap named Richard Patel on the other end, claiming that my account was due for a refund regarding a dispute I had with a timeshare firm. He didn’t request any information from me, just wondered if I was in the loop about it. Since I was aware of the ongoing dispute, I replied in the affirmative. Then he inquired if I had any questions before cutting the call. Now it's just a waiting game to see if I actually receive that refund in a few billing cycles.

I recently received a phone call from this number, and I must say, the chap on the line had a voice akin to that sinister Jigsaw character from the "Saw" films. He mumbled so incomprehensibly that I couldn’t fathom a word he was saying, which prompted me to have a bit of fun with him. So, I responded with, "Could you possibly articulate a tad more clearly, kind sir? I’m struggling to catch your drift. It would be delightful to engage in a proper conversation if only you weren’t speaking in some sort of code!" Now, I'm left wondering: should I be concerned about this individual, or is it just a gaggle of youngsters having a laugh at my expense?

The organisation in question is known as Wi-Max Communications, operating both domestically and overseas. They conduct assessments to identify how many phone numbers can be accommodated via direct internet connections, likely focusing on specific demographics or geographic regions. Their expertise lies predominantly in wireless microwave technology. When they reach out to you, their system performs scans throughout the PBX (Private Branch Exchange) to ascertain the number of calls that are being routed to Wi-Fi, mobile networks, traditional landlines, or other types of communication pathways they are charting. This process enables them to generate feasibility studies and conduct quality of service evaluations on their wireless frameworks.

Today, I had an unexpected phone call from this number. A gentleman introduced himself as either Jay or Jake-honestly, I can’t recall which; he said we’d crossed paths on Yahoo a few months back. He hails from Sydney, Australia, and works in retail. The purpose of his call was to inform me about his upcoming holiday trip to Singapore, and he expressed a desire to meet up. Despite racking my brain, I can’t for the life of me remember meeting anyone by that name. In fact, I don’t know any Jay or Jake at all! What really has me puzzled is how he managed to get my phone number, my name, and details about my job. It left me wondering if there’s any risk or if my information has been leaked simply by answering the phone. I decided to do some digging online... any insights on this would be much appreciated.

Just a little warning for everyone - steer clear of this number! Simply picking up can expose your information, even just with a casual greeting. So best to let it ring! If the calls persist, consider getting an app to block them. They might display as something like 266-696-687 or 266 696 687. I happen to work in law enforcement, and it’s astounding the lengths these dodgy characters go to, just to pinch your personal details. Just a heads up! Also, remember that there's something called voicemail. If they genuinely need to contact you, they’ll undoubtedly leave a message, won’t they? Better to be cautious than to regret it later! Should you have any queries or need any assistance, feel free to drop me a line at [email protected]. I hold a particular disdain for these conniving individuals, and I'd be more than glad to help out in any way I can. Best, J Brown

Last evening, I got a rather bizarre call on my Magic Jack, with an irate bloke on the other end. He was absolutely furious, levelling accusations at me about some alleged affair with his girlfriend, which struck me as utterly ludicrous! I couldn’t help but chuckle throughout the entire conversation as he went on this wild rant, repeating “you are you” incessantly, full of threats about what he'd do to me once he tracked me down. It went on for a good few minutes before it wrapped up with a recorded message revealing it was all a prank from some website-I can’t quite recall the name, though.

We’ve been receiving similar nuisance calls as well. They purport to be from Premier Bankcard, claiming to offer credit cards, but their accents definitely suggest they're not from around here. Just the other day, someone rang us from Premier Bankcard asking for a name that’s completely unfamiliar to us. I can't help but wonder if there's some sort of link or if it's just sheer coincidence. These calls from the number I've blocked seem relentless. Curiously, I attempted to call back using the blocked feature, and my own number showed up as 26669-6687. I have a strong suspicion that they’re up to no good. This appears to be a company involved in issuing prepaid credit cards and they seem to hit you with exorbitant charges.

I was quite dubious about this phone number as well. Last Sunday, I received no fewer than four calls from it. I attempted to ring back, but to no avail. A week went by, and then I got another three calls, and on the third attempt, someone actually spoke up. They claimed I had called them at 2 in the morning a few days back. I probed further, asking who they were and if their number ended in 266-696-687, to which they clarified that it wasn’t them. I stumbled upon this website, www.crimetime.com/The-Most-Restricted-Phone-Number.html, which shed some light on the matter. So, I decided to give my fiancée’s phone a bell using *67 first before dialling this number, and lo and behold, my number popped up as 266-696-687 since I had withheld my number.

Received a phone call from this number today. When I picked up, there was an older woman on the line who was asking for a Mr. (couldn't catch the name). If anyone has any insights or details on what this could relate to, I’d be quite interested to hear!
