Yesterday I got a quick call from a Burundi number but it just hung up straight away. When I tried calling back, it rang but I cut off before anyone picked up. Lately, I've been getting calls coming from numbers starting with 679, then sometimes 518 or 666, always with different digits after. Virgin Mobile told me not to call them back and just block the numbers instead.

Got calls from these lot loads of times, like 11 times in just a few hours! They only ring once and then just cut off. I answered once when it rang more than once and they just hung up on me. Apparently EE says it costs £3 a minute on mobiles, though I wouldn’t put it past them to add extra fees on top. Best to steer clear and maybe use your phone’s block feature if it’s got one. These calls are proper annoying and you can’t be too careful nowadays.

Got two calls from this number but both times they hung up without saying anything. Seems like one of those ring scams. Definitely not worth returning the call.

Got a call on my mobile from Burundi in Africa... don’t know how they managed to find my number... watch out, scammers!
