As an o2 customer,I called them, regarding the use of the number 24441 asking to complete a survey. Their customer services said it was a number that they used. Obviously I cannot know if it is hacked or not, but they claim it is their number for a survey.

Definitely a scam, just stay clear of it.

It's kinda strange cause usually you can't message companies like O2 back, but this time I was able to reply.

That 24441 number has got to be reported to the police - it’s just some scammer using the internet to rip people off, much like what the DVA and Northern Ireland’s Department for Infrastructure get up to with their dodgy taxi CPC charges, demanding £350 in cash. If you want proof, just ask Nickola Mallon about it.

The grammar’s quite poor. There’s a random full stop right after “Hi” and there’s an unnecessary space after that word too. I’ve already sent this number over to O2’s scam team for them to check out.

If you reply with "STOP," scammers will just know your number is real and then they’ll share it with other scam outfits. Best not to respond at all.

Hey there. I’m an O2 customer. I got a text last week asking me if I had a moment to talk about my experience so they can get better at what they do. They’re still keen to get some feedback, so if you want to join their survey you can click the link they sent. Just a heads up - you can reply STOP if you don’t want any more messages like this.

Hey there. Cheers for sticking with O2. Could you take a moment to tell us how it’s been with you? We wanna get better at what we do. Just hit the link (looks a bit iffy tho). If you don’t wanna get more of these texts, just send STOP.

Sounds like a total rip-off to me.

Got a text saying it was from O2 telling me to click a link for a survey. Seemed a bit dodgy, so I didn’t bother with it. Not taking any chances with stuff like that!

Got a message with a link supposedly from O2, but it seemed dodgy so I just ignored it.

Got a text saying it was from O2, asking me to press a link. Didn’t feel right so I marked it as spam and ignored it. Too risky to click on anything like that!

Got a second text from 24441 about some survey thing. Definitely wouldn’t trust it.

I got a couple of texts this week claiming to be from o2. Even though I use o2 myself, the messages seemed dodgy and I definitely wouldn’t trust the links in them. Feels like some kind of scam to me, so I’m staying well clear.

Last week I got a text from a number claiming to be O2, and then another one from that same number saying they'd tried to reach me before. They kept asking me to click on a link and fill out a survey. Really suspicious if you ask me.

I really don't trust these lot and wouldn't give them the time of day. Stop sending me texts - I'm not interested in any of your African or Asian scam stuff!

Sounds like it was one of those 02 customer service surveys, right? Fingers crossed!
