Reports on phone number 2402371030
8 yearsI recently received a rather alarming message from this number, claiming that I was in debt to the IRS for £950. They threatened that I’d face arrest within the hour unless I phoned 2402371030 immediately. The message went on to say that I'd been sent two certified letters, one back in November 2017 and another in January 2018, but I never got any notice from the post about it. It’s clearly a scam of some sort!IRS8 yearsI had a rather alarming encounter with a bloke on the phone who claimed I was going to be arrested, and foolishly, I shared my address. What on earth can we do to put an end to these irritating calls?9 yearsI made a call earlier, but all I got was the engaged tone. So, I tried again, and a bloke picked up. He had this really off-putting faux Indian accent and straight away asked for my name, then just cut the line on me. Quite dodgy, if you ask me!9 yearsWhat a dodgy operation! Every time I attempted to return the call, all I got was an automated message. Thankfully, I managed to get through to a customer service representative, who turned out to be calling from India. It gave me the shivers when he mentioned my name. He kicked off the conversation by stating that I was facing legal action from the federal government and requested my national insurance number. Not a chance, mate! From what I gather, if HM Government was indeed taking you to court, you would receive a proper notification via post. If it comes through as a call, you can bet it's a scam, and that's a serious offence. I must admit, I admire their audacity! 😄IndiaHM Government9 yearsIt's not common for the Federal Government to reach out via phone.
