I’m renting out my flat and put an ad up on Craigslist. Got this weirdo who sent me a cheque, obviously fake. They even added an extra £1000, telling me to cash it and immediately send the extra cash to some other person. They’re ringing from these numbers. I asked the supposed tenant to send photos of their American visa, passport, and driver’s licence so I could sort the contract, but it seems like all they want is for me to transfer that money. Feeling proper sketchy about the whole thing.

I've been getting calls from someone claiming to be Thomas Wallaby, saying he's from Bank of America. He tells me I've won $2.5 million and a 2015 Mercedes-Benz. Then he asks for cash to cover the processing fees for the car. Sounds like a total scam to me.
