They claim to keep an eye on your computer, then reach out to you suggesting that it’s under attack, all while it’s working fine and the antivirus is clear as day. They request access to your computer, flashing up some harmless bits and bobs that might send a shiver down the spine of those not in the know, and then they attempt to squeeze you for more cash to "resolve" these imaginary issues. They insist you’ve entered a contract with them, but somehow, the problems arise from an external source not covered by their protection-cue yet another fee! I fell victim to this trickery myself!
