I received yet another call claiming to be from Publisher's Clearing House, assuring me that my prize would arrive precisely at 11:30 AM on Monday, 2nd May 2016. This marks at least the 15th time I’ve been contacted, each time by someone different in name and number, yet the voice remains eerily familiar. Today, the caller introduced himself as Baxter, though I may have miswritten his name as Barter-my handwriting isn't the best! He mentioned that in order to claim my supposed winnings, I would need to pay a hefty sum of £1860.00 to the Federal Government upfront. I’d greatly appreciate a prompt response just in case someone does show up expecting to collect that £1860.00; I would like to have the police ready on standby. Thank you so much for any insights you can provide regarding this troubling matter.

I received a rather dubious call regarding a “refund” for £1,000 that I supposedly authorised. They insisted I merely press the Windows key and R to grant them access to my computer. Naturally, I hung up immediately. It was rather vexing, as they proceeded to ring me again on three separate occasions before I managed to block their number. What a nuisance!
