I received a threatening call, warning that I may face charges unless I returned the call. The person claiming to be from the US Treasury mentioned that this call was necessary because I had failed to respond to previous attempts. They emphasized that if I did not act before the second notice, I would be indicted in a Federal Court by a Grand Jury. I still have a recorded message of this call if anyone needs to confirm the details.

My mum got really scared when someone, pretending to be "Steve Martin" but with a foreign accent, left the same message as mentioned above. Being 72 years old, she thought she was in trouble and wanted to call them back. Thankfully, I assured her that I would research the number first. I'm grateful that I did because moments like these make me appreciate the valuable contribution of everyone who shares their experiences by leaving comments.

I received a call from this number, so I decided to call back. A woman answered at the other end, and I advised her to contact my local police department as they wished to speak with her. However, she did not mention anything about doing so. Interestingly, when I first called, a man picked up but immediately ended the call abruptly. CN

At 9:04 am today, I received a call on my mobile from an unknown number claiming to be the Treasury Department. It is quite distressing and frustrating to witness these automated callers repeatedly targeting mobile numbers without permission from the individuals who actually pay the bills for these phone services. We need to address this issue and take action against such unsolicited calls.

On September 26, 2016 at 10:40 a.m., we received a call from an individual claiming to be Dave Anderson, badge number 2415626, from the Treasury Department. He informed us that our 2014 taxes were incomplete and that we had neglected to respond to notifications from the IRS. Allegedly, we owed an amount of $5,120, including interest and processing fees. However, it became apparent that this was a fraudulent attempt. Recognizing it as such, I promptly informed him not to contact us again. It should be noted that the person had a Hispanic accent.

I recently received a voicemail from a person with a foreign accent claiming to be someone named Steve Martin from the US Treasury. I couldn't help but feel skeptical about this since it sounded like a joke. It's quite obvious to me that it's a scam. What's frustrating is that despite being registered on the Do Not Call list, I still end up receiving these fraudulent calls.

Every day, I receive multiple calls that ring between 2 to 6 times. Despite the persistent ringing, I choose not to answer. These calls have become a source of irritation for me, especially since I have already registered my number on a 'Do Not Call' list.
