I received a couple of calls within half an hour just now. Oddly enough, both reached out for someone different at my workplace, providing the full names. One caller enquired, "Is he the CTO?" and claimed to be with InstaTec, while the other asked whether his email was formatted as name, surname, and the company domain, and she identified herself as hailing from IBM. Neither bothered to disclose the purpose of their calls. It strikes me as a tactic to elicit a "Yes," and despite my best efforts to evade this, I inadvertently conceded once-what a mistake! The fellow promptly hung up right after. We’ve since decided to block that number.

I received a call from a number beginning with the 001 area code, which appears to be American. When I answered, there was just utter silence on the other end. Quite baffling, really.
