I keep getting these incessant calls from a chap with a rather posh British accent, persistently asking for our retired business owner. He claims to represent some food and beverage company, looking to chat with whoever's in charge now. I wasn't keen on disclosing the name of our current lead, but I offered to transfer him to my boss's voicemail, leaving the decision to them whether to engage further. But when I refused to give him my boss's name, he became quite nasty and insisted he needed to have a word with me. Once he escalated the situation, I made it clear we weren't interested and hung up the phone. To my disbelief, he then bombarded our office with an auto-re-dial, ringing repeatedly for a solid ten minutes. I'd pick up, but there was nothing on the other end. I'd hang up, and he'd come calling again. Talk about harassment!

I received a call from a lady with a British accent who claimed to be ringing in from London. She mentioned that she was after a chat with someone from our Business Development team. In hindsight, it’s evident I should have been more sceptical-it was probably just a scam!
