I received a call that appeared under the name of SSI, claiming they were conducting a survey. At that moment, I realised it was wise to withhold any personal details. These sorts of calls are nothing short of a nuisance, especially when they invade a business’s phone line. It’s high time the FCC took action against these deceptive numbers that are fishing for information they have no right to obtain. I informed the caller that I wouldn’t share any details and invited them to send their request in writing instead. As soon as I mentioned that, the line went dead. I simply remarked, “Feel free to give it another go, but you won’t catch me off guard.”

Picked up the phone, but there was just silence on the line. This seems to be happening quite often lately, and it’s downright infuriating-more so than when there's actually someone at the end asking for, I don’t know, my life story. At least then I could have a bit of fun and give them a taste of their own medicine!

I received a call from this number claiming to represent Greenwich Associates. A quick online search revealed their offices scattered across locations like Stamford in Connecticut, Pleasanton in California, as well as London, Tokyo’s Minato-Ku, Toronto, and even Singapore. Interestingly, it appears they don’t have any presence in Maine at all.
