I’m really puzzled about this, but somehow this number got hold of my iPhone number and made loads of calls from my phone. I’m not sure how it happened, but now I’m stuck with a long-distance bill for $168 to Des Moines, Iowa - a place I’ve never dialled before!

Got a call from an unknown number but they didn’t leave any voicemail or message. Seems like just another spam call.

This number claims to be from Microsoft support, saying there's a problem with a bill. They asked for my email, which seemed dodgy to me. Definitely a scam.

Total rip off! Definitely not Microsoft. I rang their support for a Word 2011 activation code and got passed through to this number. Some bloke named “Jeremy” with an Indian accent answered, and now I think he’s messed with my account because I can’t reset my Apple ID password. Proper dodgy.

Got two calls from a number that showed up as “Microsoft” on my phone. The guy on the line said he was from "Microsoft Billing and Tech Support" about some service ticket they had on file. There was a lot of noise in the background and he spoke with a thick accent. Thing is, we never made any ticket for anything.

I just opened a support ticket with Office 365, and shortly after, I got a call from this number. Seems like it's a genuine contact from them.

Got a call from +1 (206) 429-7961 earlier, I'm in Des Moines, WA. They rang me but quickly dropped the call. Feels like one of those scam calls to me!

Looks like a scam to me - I’ve come across loads of videos showing “tech support” calls from XXX with strong Indian accents. Plus, they rang me outside the usual office hours for tech support in my country, and the number said it was from the US, even though we have local Microsoft help here. Also, I checked the Microsoft website and this number isn’t listed anywhere: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/global-customer-service-phone-numbers-c0389ade-5640-e588-8b0e-28de8afeb3f2

I got a call from this number after I contacted Microsoft about Office 365 for business. They genuinely helped me get set up and seem trustworth. With all the scams going around, I was a bit wary, but this was definitely the real Microsoft support. If you ring this number, you'll be talking to Microsoft office support for sure.

Got a call from this number after I reached out to Microsoft. They helped me get Office 365 for my work sorted out. Seemed genuine to me. With all the scams going round, it's always better to be cautious.

Got called three times today by someone claiming to be from Microsoft. They kept asking for an 'Ada', but I told them there’s no one here with that name. Each time, they just ended with a quick thanks and goodbye. Definitely sounds dodgy to me.

Watch out: I got a few emails from what looked like a Microsoft address, mentioning a ticket ID and unused Office365 stuff. At first glance, it seemed legit, but it’s definitely not. If you look closely, the spelling is off and the links are a bit dodgy. I never made a support ticket with Microsoft, so that was already fishy. Then today, I got a phone call about the same thing. Microsoft would never ring you up about unused Office365 resources - total scam. Oh, and btw, all the downvotes on these warnings? Pretty sure it’s just the scammers themselves trying to hide it.

This number has been ringing our office here in The Netherlands at least twice every day. They keep saying they're from Microsoft, but I'm not sure what they want with us?

Honestly, that was actually Microsoft Office 365 support calling me! Real deal.

I got a call from someone saying they were from Microsoft, and honestly, it felt pretty legit. The email they sent came from [email protected], which looked proper enough. Every link in that message took me to actual Microsoft sites, like this one: https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Renew-Office-365-for-business-8d83b530-f4ca-47f6-a666-e5791cbacc7e?ui=en-US&rs=en-US&ad=US. I was surprised because I always thought Microsoft didn’t do phone calls directly to customers.
