Got a voicemail from someone pretending to be HMRC, but the voice was American which made me suspicious straight away. Definitely one of those scam calls trying to catch you out.

Dodgy call. Someone pretending to be from HMRC told me to ring them back or the police would be sent to arrest me. The call was a robotic message, with a bloke speaking in an American accent using phrases like ‘court house,’ which we definitely don’t say over here. It was clearly a recording, no real person. They rang me twice today, leaving the voicemail the first time and calling again later. I let the phone ring both times, heard the message, then just ended the call and blocked the number straight away.
