I've just had the most alarming message from HMRC, claiming that I owe them tax and they intend to send someone to arrest me! 😡😡 Honestly, it’s appalling and must be incredibly distressing, especially for older individuals who might find this really intimidating!

I received a rather alarming message on my home phone, claiming they would be coming to arrest me if I didn't settle my tax bill. Supposedly, it was from HMRC. Turns out it was all a con. Steer clear of this nonsense. Best to delete the message and just ignore it!

A rather articulate gentleman left a voicemail on my answering machine. He claimed to be calling from HMRC regarding some legal action due to outstanding tax payments. He insisted that I reach out to them right away at the number 2039368947, or I’d risk being apprehended. This is definitely a massive scam-don’t be taken in by it! Whatever you do, steer clear of returning their call.
