Absolutely, I received a call from this number as well. The caller seemed to know all about my cable provider and tempted me with an enticing offer. I ended up sending a cheque, but after a bit of consideration, I did some digging on the phone number and realised it was a total scam! I swiftly cancelled the cheque and gave them a ring, leaving a detailed message. If only I’d done my homework prior to hastily sending that cheque off! Lesson well and truly learned!
