This particular number popped up on my caller ID five times just yesterday and has been a frequent nuisance before as well! Each time I answer, they seem to quickly disconnect, and on occasions when I let it ring, all I hear is a repeated, rather annoying "Hello, hello, hello." I can't help but wonder, who on earth are these people and what on earth are they after? It's becoming rather exasperating!

I received a rather dodgy call regarding potential grant funding for my education. They went through a series of questions with me, claiming they were preparing me for something. Then, they made it clear that I shouldn't mention I'd been prepped. When I was put through to a recorded line, I passed the phone to my husband. To my utter disbelief, they addressed him as ‘Mrs. WHATEVER’! When they probed him about my coaching, he simply said yes, and they promptly ended the call. They claimed to be located in Ohio, yet wouldn't divulge the specific city. Honestly, it's best to ignore such calls and add them to your block list. These fraudsters deserve a fitting home, perhaps behind bars somewhere in Ohio!

I picked up the call, and the chap on the line had quite a strong Chinese accent. He was going on about how they supposedly had my contact details because I was eligible for some sort of federal grant, which wouldn’t need to be repaid. He also inquired whether I was currently enrolled at a school and if I was receiving any government assistance, or at least that’s what I gathered-truth be told, I struggled to grasp much of what he was saying. There seemed to be quite a racket behind him, maybe a telly blaring or some sort of hubbub, and as it turned out, my partner had done a quick lookup on the number while I was still engaging with this caller. He discovered it had links to known scams and showed me the information just as I was still on the line. When I inquired about why this number was flagged for scams, before he could respond, I simply told him I was hanging up, fully hoping he’d not succeed in conning anyone else.
