2 yearsReceived a dodgy call about a BOQ credit card issue…<br/>Whatever you do, steer clear of ringing this number back!2 yearsI received a suspicious message from an unknown number, and would you believe it, the same details were shared just ten minutes later? It seems they’re trying to create a sense of urgency. The link to the 1300 number wasn’t even complete, just a partial URL that led nowhere. Then, I started getting calls from a Sydney number (02 9158 6385), all spaced out in a similar rhythm. I decided to let them go to voicemail. The first one was a robotic voice instructing me to call a number, providing some one-time pin info that sounded dodgy-surely a legitimate bank would only give out a pin while you’re actually on the line with them, right? The second voicemail was unintelligible-looked like their automated system couldn’t keep it together. Quite the dodgy situation, if you ask me!Sydney3 yearsI received a message claiming that my Bank of Queensland card had been frozen due to dubious overseas online purchases. It instructed me to text 'Y' to the number 61447310169 if I deemed the transaction to be legitimate, or otherwise to give them a ring. Rather than calling, I thought it wise to do a bit of online sleuthing, which led me to this site, as the bank’s helplines were shut for the day and I couldn’t verify anything. It’s abundantly clear this is all a scam, complete with fraudulent numbers!Bank of Queensland3 yearsThis number is definitely dodgy.4 yearsIt seems these individuals are riding the coattails of a genuine BOQ security notification. I decided to reach out directly to BOQ to clarify the matter, as I would never respond via text message. Furthermore, I noticed that 1300 441 897 isn't mentioned as a contact number anywhere on the BOQ website.BOQ4 years"###### serves as your one-time PIN for accessing BOQ Other Card capabilities. Never disclose this code over the phone. Should you not have initiated this request, please ring 1300 441 897." I opted not to make the call, as I suspected it was a fraudulent attempt.4 yearsThis number appears to connect to the Philippines, which certainly raises a few eyebrows. I wouldn't trust it enough to share any personal information.Philippines8 yearsHello! I got a message saying that my BOQ card wasn't accepted, so I decided to call the number provided.
