On the 21st of February 2018, I accidentally tapped a link on Facebook and straight away got this message: "FreeMsg: Gain unlimited access to your stuff by entering your ID: 61(followed by my number) and password: 610ae1 at qu.quizikoo.com. Discover the top Aussie content." I texted back STOP, but by then they'd already taken $13.78 from my Optus bill. Absolute scammers, really hope something gets done to put an end to this kind of fraud.

They said they’ll try to contact the company to unsubscribe me, but if that doesn’t work, I’m planning to report it to the police next.

I ended up calling my phone company and telling them there was an unauthorised charge on my account - after that, they cancelled my subscription and gave me my money back. But honestly, I had to drop words like "scam," "fraud," and "complaint" to get them to take it seriously. The link they text you to unsubscribe simply doesn’t work, and texting "STOP" doesn’t do anything either. So, your best bet is to contact your phone provider like I did.
