Received a message from this number saying I need a new app password so my apps and gadgets keep running. The link was: https://account.live.com/APHelp Looks like a total scam to me.

So I was trying to get Microsoft’s phone companion app on my computer, syncing it up with my Android, when out of nowhere a message popped up saying 10101 wanted to chat and that it might cost me. Being pretty clueless with gadgets, I wasn’t sure if this was just part of the usual setup or something dodgy. When I tried typing in 10101 to reply, I got a message telling me to ring star 611 - which I guessed meant *611 - for customer service. Gave it a go on my landline but all I got was complete silence. It was pretty confusing how this 10101 thing just showed up while I was trying to connect my phone to the PC. Oh, and I found out 10101 in binary equals 21, but that didn’t help much at all. A quick Google brought me here though.

Got a strange message from this number claiming there was a Skype call on the way. Didn’t trust it one bit, so I ended up blocking them.

Got loads of calls from this number today, like 21 times! Heard a guy with an Indian accent say something about utilities, then he just cut off. After that, they kept ringing but no one answered on the other side! Proper annoying.

So far today, Monday 21st Sept 2015, I’ve already had 2 calls by 10am, and on Friday there was about 7. Every time I answer, it’s just silence, no one speaking, just dead air. Proper annoying!
