Didn’t pick up because the number looked really dodgy, and I’ve heard from others it can be dodgy or even not nice at all. Recently, I received a rather dodgy phone call from a call centre based in India, purportedly representing Windows Tech Support. When I inquired how I could assist him, he insisted that they needed to verify my computer. I promptly informed him that I exclusively use an Apple Mac. He was quite persistent, claiming to have my computer ID at hand. I then asked him for his name, but he outright refused to disclose it. After ending the conversation, I immediately contacted Action Fraud (UK). They've provided me with a crime reference number, which is now being forwarded to the Fraud Detection Unit of South Yorkshire Police. If anyone else encounters these types of calls, I highly recommend reaching out to Action Fraud (UK) at 0300 123 2040.

Received a rather unwelcome call from this number bright and early today. The caller began by inquiring whether I owned a computer. Upon confirming, she claimed they had detected some dire issues with my Windows system, warning me that my computer was on the brink of crashing! Naturally, I pressed for more information and asked for the name of the company, but the operator-who appeared to have an Indian accent-was rather dodgy, only mentioning something about 'technical services'. I swiftly informed her that I wasn’t keen and hung up the line. Interestingly, I’ve already had a similar dodgy call yesterday, albeit from a different number (001441518080315). It’s incredibly frustrating! I truly hope there’s a way to shut down these bothersome scam calls once and for all.
