Didn’t pick up because the number looked really dodgy, and I’ve heard from others it can be dodgy or even not nice at all. I just got a call from them, it was dead silent for a bit then some computer voice said goodbye. I rang 1471 afterwards and this exact number showed up. It's happened to me quite a few times now.

Got a call from an Indian call centre, saying they were Windows Tech Support. I asked what they wanted and they insisted on checking my computer. I told them I only use a Mac, but they kept pushing and claimed they had my computer ID. When I asked for their name, they wouldn’t say. I hung up straight away and rang Action Fraud here in the UK. They gave me a crime reference number and said the case will go to the fraud detection team at South Yorkshire police. If you get calls like this, definitely contact Action Fraud on 0300 123 2040.

Got a call from someone with a pretty strong accent, sounded like maybe they were Indian, and they ended up swearing at me. Quite unpleasant!

This morning, got a call from this number asking if I owned a computer. When I said yes, the caller claimed there was a Windows issue and my PC was about to break down! I asked for their name or company, but the lady (sounds like she was from India) dodged the question, just vaguely mentioning 'technical services'. I told her I wasn’t interested and hung up. Funny enough, this is the same scam I had yesterday, just from a different number (001441518080315). Really wish there was a way to stop these annoying nuisance calls.

My grandad got a ring from someone claiming he was owed loads from his PPI. Total scam as usual.

He claimed to be calling from ‘Windows’, which immediately set off alarm bells since I work at a large firm with its own IT team. I decided to mess about and kept him hanging by putting him on hold a couple of times, pretending I was booting up my computer and logging in. After that, I couldn’t resist winding him up, so I joked about whether he was offering double or single glazing, given he was from ‘Windows’. He snapped back with a proper rude comment, told me to ‘go get lost’ in much less polite terms. I just found the whole thing hilarious!

They rang me like eight times today, claiming to be from Microsoft Windows and even knew my name. Then they started talking about my IP address and stuff. Really pushy lot. I had to switch off the internet just to stop them tracking anything.
