I received a call from someone who had a rather pronounced Asian accent, claiming to represent BT Openreach. He mentioned that they needed to alter my internet frequency from a 700 number to a 500 one. Curiously, he inquired about my online usage and insisted that everyone in my neighbourhood was experiencing internet issues, and that this was BT's method of addressing the situation. If this were indeed a legitimate call, I would have expected BT to reach out via a written notice beforehand, given that I’m not one to entertain unsolicited calls.
