I've just had a look at our Sky Speak bill and noticed there were 80 calls to this particular number between half past seven and eight o'clock over the span of three weeks. Oddly enough, no one in our household made these calls, and Sky is currently investigating this issue.

We've got a situation here because we arranged a pick-up that lasted 31 minutes and cost £45.37. How do these companies justify their charges? It turned out to be our pick-up service that responded. Now, BT is adamantly refusing to refund us the total amount of £62.81. It’s absolutely frustrating!

I've noticed some hefty charges racking up on our landline for this number. Does anyone have an idea who it might belong to?

We've just received our latest bill and noticed a peculiar charge related to this number. It appeared on the 19th of October at 3:01 in the morning, lasting precisely 6 minutes and 6 seconds, for which they’ve billed us £9.70. We’re completely baffled by this! Could anyone shed light on who these people are or what company they represent? We definitely wouldn’t have agreed to such a call.

On Friday the 26th of June, just after midnight, we noticed an unfamiliar number popping up on our landline bill. We promptly contacted our service provider, Virgin Media, and they kindly rectified the situation by refunding the charges. We have a strong feeling this was one of those dodgy silent call scams. I reckon it would be a good idea for your provider to reimburse any charges incurred, plus you should consider having the number blocked. Regrettably, we can’t offer further assistance on this matter. Cheers, Martin.

We've got an issue brewing while we’re away on our trip, which lasts for a rather convoluted 31 days and takes in hours like 16, 45, and 37. How is it that these companies can impose such charges? Our call was picked up by their automated system when we reached out for assistance. BT, on the other hand, has flatly denied our request for a refund, which amounts to a rather frustrating total of 62.81.

Received two calls from this number in a mere span of ten seconds - definitely part of a scam operation. I must say, Virgin was extremely supportive and refunded all my funds. The number had no caller ID. . . . . . . . be vigilant, everyone!!!!

I've no recollection of receiving a call from 09829 303333, nor have I ever dialled that number myself. Yet, astonishingly, I've noticed a charge exceeding £23 for what seems to be a call to that very number on my recent BT bill. As a result, I've decided to raise a complaint with BT's premium rate helpline, which is 0800 500 2121. However, wouldn’t you know it? They’re only available Monday to Friday, from 8 in the morning until 6 in the evening!

This number popped up on our phone bill dated 6th December, logged at 5:03 in the morning, and it racked up a charge of £29.57. The peculiar thing is, my husband and I were sound asleep in bed at that hour!

Is it feasible that these dodgy individuals are attaching their devices to our lines, particularly near roadside cabinets? I recall hearing that last year, folks in the Exeter area were targeted by such scams. It seems these crooks are attempting to profit from the premium rate phone calls. By the way, which part of the UK are you all based in?

It’s rather concerning that our landline has been ringing incessantly, with this particular number, 3333, ringing through a staggering 14 times, racking up a bill of £181.15. The dreadful ringing occurred during the early hours, between 23:35 and 02:42, when the household was fast asleep! Honestly, no one here placed such calls, and as a retired female, it’s quite improbable that I would make those calls either. As it stands, BT has directed us to another site concerning 09 numbers to file our complaint, but we’re at a loss about how to address this situation. Paying this bill just isn’t feasible for us. Any advice on what steps we ought to take would be greatly appreciated.

I reckon she’s crept downstairs and switched on those rather risqué ladies on the telly. No way she’s catching any Z’s when you think otherwise-you could not be more mistaken, haha!

Received a call on our house phone from this number, which I've never dialled before. I couldn't quite place it, and to my surprise, it ended up costing me £29.81. The call came through at 12:25 on the 7th of November. Quite baffling, really!

Is it feasible that shady individuals are attaching these devices to your phone lines via roadside cabinets, for instance? I recall last year when folks in the Exeter area were targeted by such scams - they played this dirty trick to siphon off a cut from the profits of premium rate calls. Just out of curiosity, which part of the UK are you all from?
