It appears that someone has managed to tamper with our phone line, and we found a £6 charge on our bill.

It appears that someone has pinched our phone and used it to make calls to this number, racking up outrageous charges on our bill. What's the best way to prevent them from further calls? Any advice on how to block these rogue charges would be greatly appreciated!

We've encountered that number as well, having dialled it twice from our phone. After reaching out to TalkTalk, they informed us that tracing the call isn’t currently possible due to issues with the payphone site or some such thing being offline. We reside in Aberdeen, which is quite a trek from Exeter on the opposite end of the UK. It’s quite perplexing, really, as it seems this situation is affecting folks nationwide. Consequently, it looks like we’re facing a charge of £15.34 for two calls, each lasting about three minutes.
