I’m completely baffled as to why our iPhone has been ringing from these numbers, <09825233330 & 09825232415>. It seems as though they’re calling us on their own for some odd reason. I’ve just noticed we’ve been hit with a double charge of £1.70 each, one on the 6th of January and the other on the 8th! Is there a way we can stop our iPhone from dialing these dubious numbers?

Indeed, I've been wondering how much you currently possess, particularly since it begins with this on the app on your iPhone! We sorted this out earlier today. I must say, I'm rather displeased when we get slapped with charges!

We've noticed an odd charge of £1.70 on our statement for a brief call that lasted all of two seconds, which we definitely did not place.

I've been hit with charges of two quid for each of these numbers. It seems that some iPhone apps are responsible for making these premium-rate calls. The numbers in question are 09825232415, 09825233330, and 09825232537. This situation is absolutely scandalous, and Apple should really put an end to this nonsense.

We’re utterly baffled by these numbers <09825230 & 09825232415> that seem to have dialed our iPhone without our consent. It’s only just dawned on us that we've been billed twice at £1.70 each time-once on the 8th of January and again on the 6th. Can anyone advise on how to stop these types of calls being collected by the iPhone? Any assistance would be most welcome!

I've just noticed a charge of £1.70 on my account, which seemed to come about after I accidentally tapped on an advert from an iPhone app. As I understand it, Apple is meant to vet these advertisements served through AdMob, and surely such adverts should require your confirmation before making any calls. Does anyone know the proper channels to raise a complaint about this?

I received a call from this number and when I answered, they charged me £1.70.

By chance, we accidentally tapped on the ad banner at the bottom of our iPhone screen, and in the blink of an eye, some app fired up and rang this number without our consent. We ended up with a charge of £4.77 plus VAT for a call we never intended to make. When we reached out to O2, they seemed rather apathetic about our concerns. Consequently, we’ve decided to escalate the matter with Apple.

What a right pickle this has turned out to be! We've been slapped with a charge of £4.45 for a call that we didn't even make. When we reached out to O2 for some clarity, they revealed that there’s no record of this so-called premium number in their system. Thankfully, the folks responsible for this have agreed to refund us and they’ll also be putting a block on any further premium calls. Plus, they said they would look into the matter further. Can you believe the cheek of it?

What a complete scandal! It's utterly disgraceful that O2 and Apple have permitted this number to fleece unsuspecting customers of their hard-earned cash.

I can't believe we've been slapped with a charge of £1.70 for this call! A number rang us, and while we were going through our phone, I must have accidentally answered it-definitely not our intention! Then, out of the blue, this woman just started blabbing away. We quickly hung up, curious about what just happened. After checking our online account, we noticed that we'd been charged £1.70 for a call we didn't even initiate! How on earth are these folks planning to rectify this? I'm not feeling particularly chuffed about it, to say the least!

I’ve just noticed a charge of £1.70 on my account, which seems to have come about from accidentally tapping on an ad for an iPhone app. As far as I know, Apple is meant to vet the adverts that pop up through AdMob, and I thought there was supposed to be a confirmation step before any calls are placed. Has anyone got a clue about who I should contact to lodge a complaint?

Our account has an odd charge of £1.70 for a call that lasted merely three seconds, and we definitely didn't make that ring.

We think we may have inadvertently clicked on an ad and ended up dialling this number as well. It's exactly the same one, and we were charged £70 for it. This all happened while using the Grindr app.

Absolutely, as many of you have mentioned, it all begins with an application on your iPhone! We experienced the same thing this afternoon. I have a feeling we'll be quite displeased when we see the bill!

It appears this number has been involved in the bubble wrap craze too, with kids getting in on the fun. In truth, four calls came through on this line-quite ridiculous! I can't understand how Apple is permitting such a dubious advertisement that clearly takes advantage of people. I’ll be reaching out to Apple for some sort of reimbursement soon!

It appears that our phone has received calls from 09825233330, 09825232415, and 09074734000 without us even noticing. Upon investigating these numbers on a search engine, it seems I’m not the only one in this predicament. It’s quite unsettling to think about the potential charges that may arise from these calls. We certainly won’t be pleased when we see what we've been billed!

I've just come to the shocking realisation that we unintentionally dialled this number! We were engrossed in a game of iPhone Scramble and, without meaning to, we tapped on one of the ads displayed on the scores page. This prompted a call that we cut off immediately. However, it seems we weren't quick enough, as there's now a charge of £1.70 on our bill! How frustrating!

I've found myself dealing with the very same issue. We've incurred a charge on our bill for ringing a number we never intended to call-it's simply ridiculous! It took us quite some time to trace the origin of the number before we discovered it was linked to a banner ad on one of our apps. We reached out to O2 for assistance, and they mentioned that it was meant for a company called PayPlus, but insisted they weren’t liable for the charges. It’s absolutely scandalous! It certainly feels like we’re being robbed here. I can only imagine how much these people are raking in!
