Got a call on my home phone from someone claiming to be Michael Collins about my BT internet. He asked if I was the correct person to talk to, and when I didn’t answer straight away, he started cussing at me. Told him to fuck right off.

Got a call from a guy named ‘John’, said he was ringing from UK Nationals Data Management. He was an Asian bloke and honestly, he was hard to understand. He kept asking about how old my washing machine was, so I just made up a different brand. Then he asked if I was planning to release equity from my house and what I'd use the cash for. I never give these types the real info, always fib. He mentioned someone would be calling me about equity release, but I told him I didn’t want any calls and just ended the call.

This morning at half past eight, I received a call from a woman with an Asian accent claiming there was an issue with my BT broadband service. I promptly informed her that such a scenario was impossible since I don’t even have BT as my provider. By the way, I utilise a VPN, so they can’t trace my connection. After clarifying this, I decided to hang up the phone.

Received a call from a woman with an Asian accent at half past eight this morning, claiming there was an issue with my BT broadband. Since I don’t even have an account with BT, it was clearly a scam. I made it quite clear what I thought of her nonsense and promptly ended the call. Just for good measure, I also use a VPN to ensure they can’t trace my number.

Got a call from this number around 8.15am today, pretty much like what others have said before. The person on the line told me to switch my computer on, which I wasn’t comfortable with, so I just hung up. Honestly, this needs to be dealt with quickly because someone who’s more vulnerable might follow their instructions and probably end up in a bad spot afterwards.

I just had a rather peculiar encounter with a woman who had a distinctly Asian accent. She insisted that my computer was on the verge of crashing, and I needed to log in while she was on the phone. It's evident this is nothing but a scam! These calls bombard my phone from the crack of dawn, starting at 6 am. During our last conversation, I firmly told her to cease calling me, as I recognise it for what it is-a scam! To my surprise, she only chuckled and asked why I thought my computer was in danger right now. Frankly, her rudeness was startling; no reputable company would employ such a dismissive attitude while harassing the general public.

This is the fourth time I've had a ring from this number, and all the earlier ones were on 3rd November 2018. Today’s call was the earliest yet at 7:05 am. Before that, they called me at 8:47, 10:10, and then again at 1:33 pm. I shared the contact details for the info commissioners office in a previous comment. If you plan to get in touch with them, make sure you have plenty of details ready. I’d recommend keeping a diary or record of every call like these, just in case.

Just answered a call and straight away it was clearly a call centre, they kept going on about Microsoft nonsense. Ended up hanging up. Last week, the caller was from a London 020 number. Thinking of getting a whistle to annoy them back, cause blocking won’t work - they just switch numbers all the time.

Got a call from someone claiming my computer had a virus hiding in the junk folder. They asked me to open up my PC so they could fix it. The person said they were from Microsoft Support, supposedly down in Paddington, London, and told me their name was M&S Wilson. Really fishy if you ask me!

sadly they ended the call before i even got to pick up, so my answer machine took over. but the caller cut off just as it was about to kick in, which makes me think this is probably a dodgy scammer. the warnings on this site clearly say numbers beginning with 09 are risky, so dont bother ringing them back. instead, report it straight away to the information commissioners office at 0303 123 113, giving all the info you can. chances are they’ve broken data protection laws.

This week I've been getting woken up every single day by calls from this number and others like it. Honestly, I’m beyond annoyed. They all claim they’re here to fix my computer because it's supposedly infected with a virus. Yeah, right, as if I’d fall for that. I’m just about to contact Sky and arrange for Sky Shield to block these pest calls once and for all.

I got calls from 09748820502 twice, once at 7:05 in the morning and then again at 11:05. After looking into the number, it showed up as a parcel depot in West Bengal, which seemed a bit odd to me. Calling back costs a bit, split between what your phone company charges and a service fee from whoever owns the number, anywhere from 1p up to £3.60 per minute. There could also be a one-off fee between 5p and £6. Seems like they might be making a nice bit of money just by getting folks to ring them back!
