I received some voicemails from this number, so I decided to call them back. You see, I’m eagerly anticipating a response from the PPI representatives. As pensioners, we find ourselves quite anxious about the situation.

I received a call at half past two on the 23rd of August, 2019, from someone claiming they had a cheque for £871 waiting for me. They wanted me to call them back. Honestly, if they really had the cheque, why not just send it directly? It feels like they think we’re all a bunch of fools!

I just had a rather peculiar message on my voicemail. Some bloke, without even bothering to name a company, claimed that their accounts department had processed my cheque for £899.00. He urged me to ring their accounts manager at this number as soon as possible. Quite frankly, it all seems a bit suspicious, especially as I've not dispatched any cheque for that sum to anyone. I certainly won’t be getting back in touch with them - they’ve got the classic whiff of scammers about them, if you ask me!
