Got a call from David, that’s the fourth time he’s tried today. He went through the usual script, all the standard stuff. I told him I’d need to head over to my son’s place because I don’t have a computer. Then out of nowhere, he says he loves me! Absolutely bizarre.

Total rip-off. This bloke called me claiming he was from Windows, saying my computer was sending out error alerts. I told him I wasn’t bothered and ended the call. Not long after, he rang again, sounding proper rude and demanding why I’d cut him off, insisting it wasn’t a sales pitch and that it was urgent. I then told him I actually don’t own a Windows PC, just an iPad. He didn’t bother arguing after that and hung up sharpish :)

I've had this number ring me a few times recently. Last time they called, I was just about to get home and told them I was nearly there. Managed to keep them talking for a whole hour! They tried saying there was something wrong with my Windows, but I was like, "Nah, I'm not interested in any new windows for my house." After that, they just hung up. My kids found it hilarious and couldn’t stop laughing. Honestly, if this number shows up, just don’t pick up.

I received a call informing me that my computer was apparently updating with some dodgy Microsoft software. I simply replied that I was switching to Apple. At that point, they disconnected the call.

I received a phone call from a woman with an Asian dialect who claimed to represent Microsoft. She provided me with the number 0203 770 6990 to return her call. However, when I tried to ring it back, the number was unreachable.

So today at about 10:28am London time, I got a call from some guy with an Asian accent. He was going on about how my computer might have viruses or suspicious files from the internet. When I said all I really open are PDFs, he just ended the call right away. Quite odd if you ask me.

Today I got this call from someone claiming to be from Microsoft about some error message on my computer. I didn’t share any details with them, thought it sounded a bit dodgy like a scam, so I told them I’d ring back later. They then said I’d got the wrong number.

Avoid picking up or letting them into your computer, its a total scam. These people say they work for Microsoft and say your computer is full of problems and viruses. Their goal is to get remote access so they can steal your info. Don't fall for it!

Had a missed call from this number around 9:20 in the morning, so I gave it a ring from my landline. It just said the number wasn’t available. Possibly it only works with mobiles? Either way, I wouldn’t have picked up.

NEVER RESPOND OR GIVE THESE FOLKS ANY DETAILS - IT’S A TOTAL SCAM!! I got a call from a man with an Asian accent claiming to be from Microsoft. He said my computer’s Windows system was sending reports and had some sort of “internet infection.” When I asked which version of Windows he meant, he couldn’t say. Then, when I asked him to prove he was from Microsoft, he admitted he wasn’t but worked for an IT company located on 80 Victoria Street in London. I quickly looked up the place online and asked for the postcode, which he gave me. I then asked what the building was called, but he went silent. At that point, I knew he was messing about and told him I wasn’t born yesterday before hanging up.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from Windows support. When I asked how they got my number, they said it was linked to my purchase of their software. I decided to humour them, and they told me to click the start menu and tell them what popped up. If you jokingly say you spot a huge bald bloke in the corner, they curse like mad and cut the call immediately... quite the experience!

Got three calls from this number, I didn’t pick up to start with. But after they kept ringing, I figured I’d see what they wanted. Some bloke said his name was Paul, supposedly from Windows support. I told him I don’t even own a PC. He was like “Oh!” and then he just ended the call.

Got a call like the one mentioned earlier, some bloke claiming to be from Windows. When I told him I wasn’t buying it, he just hung up on me!
