Got a call from David, that’s the fourth time he’s tried today. He went through the usual script, all the standard stuff. I told him I’d need to head over to my son’s place because I don’t have a computer. Then out of nowhere, he says he loves me! Absolutely bizarre.

Total rip-off. This bloke called me claiming he was from Windows, saying my computer was sending out error alerts. I told him I wasn’t bothered and ended the call. Not long after, he rang again, sounding proper rude and demanding why I’d cut him off, insisting it wasn’t a sales pitch and that it was urgent. I then told him I actually don’t own a Windows PC, just an iPad. He didn’t bother arguing after that and hung up sharpish :)

I've had this number ring me a few times recently. Last time they called, I was just about to get home and told them I was nearly there. Managed to keep them talking for a whole hour! They tried saying there was something wrong with my Windows, but I was like, "Nah, I'm not interested in any new windows for my house." After that, they just hung up. My kids found it hilarious and couldn’t stop laughing. Honestly, if this number shows up, just don’t pick up.

I received a phone call from a woman with an Asian dialect who claimed to represent Microsoft. She provided me with the number 0203 770 6990 to return her call. However, when I tried to ring it back, the number was unreachable.

Greetings! So I received a rather peculiar call today at precisely 10:28 AM, London time. The chap on the other end had an Asian accent and started probing me about potentially having suspicious files or viruses from the internet. When I mentioned that the only files I interact with are PDFs, he abruptly ended the call. Quite odd, isn't it?

Today I got this call from someone claiming to be from Microsoft about some error message on my computer. I didn’t share any details with them, thought it sounded a bit dodgy like a scam, so I told them I’d ring back later. They then said I’d got the wrong number.

Avoid picking up or letting them into your computer, its a total scam. These people say they work for Microsoft and say your computer is full of problems and viruses. Their goal is to get remote access so they can steal your info. Don't fall for it!

Had a missed call from this number around 9:20 in the morning, so I gave it a ring from my landline. It just said the number wasn’t available. Possibly it only works with mobiles? Either way, I wouldn’t have picked up.

AVOID THIS CALLER LIKE THE PLAGUE! IT'S A TOTAL CON!

Just had a ring from a chap with a noticeable Asian accent claiming to represent Microsoft about issues with my computer’s Windows system. He rambled on about my device sending reports and supposedly having an "internet virus". When I pressed him on which version of Windows I was using, he was stumped. Trying to get some validation, I asked him to confirm he was genuinely from Microsoft, to which he replied he wasn't directly, but was from some IT engineering firm located on 80 Victoria Street in London. I wasted no time and looked up the address, prompting me to ask for the postcode, which he rattled off. When I inquired about the building’s name, his response was pure crickets. It was clear he thought I would fall for his nonsense; I told him I wasn't naïve and hung up.

They claimed to be from Windows support, and when I probed about where my phone number might've been logged during the installation of my Windows programme, they insisted it was linked to my purchase. When I decided to play along, they instructed me to click on my start button and describe what was there. So when I cheekily mentioned I could see a rather large, bald chap sitting in the corner, they became quite irate, swearing quite a bit before abruptly ending the call!

Got a missed call from 09101112131 on my mobile so I tried calling back from my landline but it just said the number couldn’t be reached. I guess it only accepts calls from mobiles? Feels a bit dodgy, probably a scam.

Got three calls from this number, I didn’t pick up to start with. But after they kept ringing, I figured I’d see what they wanted. Some bloke said his name was Paul, supposedly from Windows support. I told him I don’t even own a PC. He was like “Oh!” and then he just ended the call.

I don’t possess a computer or a laptop! As soon as I pointed that out, he abruptly ended the call. Quite dodgy if you ask me!

I had a rather peculiar experience the other day with someone who could hardly string a sentence together in English. He claimed to be from Windows and insisted he was monitoring my computer.
