Yesterday my 14 year old lad was at home when suddenly a pop-up appeared on his laptop. I arrived just as he was chatting on the phone with this number. The caller, a man with a strong accent, was pushing my son to hand over our visa details to fix some supposed virus, urging him to pay straight away. My son was panicking, telling me to pay immediately to save his computer. I wouldn't give him the card info, which sparked a bit of an argument, and the man stayed calmly on the line throughout. Eventually, I ended the call and tried to turn off the laptop, only to find out the bloke had actually taken control of my son's Surface Pro. Before I was home, the man had guided my son through a bunch of steps that let him access the computer remotely. I had to force the laptop to shut down just to get rid of him. My son was really stressed, and if there’d been a card statement lying around, I’m sure he would’ve gone for it. Definitely a lesson learned.

They kept ringing me over and over, so eventually I just had to block the number.

I've had this number ringing me twice now, both times very late. It called me around half past one in the morning the first night, and then just about the same time the next night, only slightly earlier at 12:30am. I usually just ignore calls from unknown numbers like this.

Got these calls from a woman with an accent I couldn’t place, kept ringing non-stop. She kept telling me my computer was infected and someone was stealing stuff from it. I actually had to take the phone off the hook because she was so pushy and rude!

I ended up saying it was cos of the adult stuff I watch online, reckon it was only a matter of time before it caught up with me. I dragged the convo out for a good 7 minutes, so that was a laugh. She said she’d put my number on block after that, so who knows if they’ll ring back or not. Anyway, better off for it, eh?

I got this pop-up warning on my laptop saying I’d caught a nasty virus and to avoid turning it off or rebooting, and instead call 1-844-618-4612 straight away. Ignoring that, I switched my laptop off and ended up ringing the number by mistake. Some guy with an Indian accent answered, so I just quickly hung up. Then, not long after, I saw a call from 090-956-4622 on my caller ID. Didn’t pick up and they left no voicemail. A few minutes later, same number rang again but I still didn’t answer.

Got a call from a woman claiming my PC had some nasty malware and sounded pretty pushy about it. I told her I don’t even own a computer, but she kept going on. They keep ringing me about this stuff, and it’s really starting to wind me up.

Today I got two calls in under an hour from the same number and yesterday I got one as well. As soon as I said I didn’t have a computer, they just hung up. Still pretty irritating!

I’ve lost count how many times these folks have rung me up, telling me there’s something wrong with my computer and that they’re from Windows 10. Honestly, it’s like the 15th time at least! They just won’t quit. Next time they call, I might just blow a whistle at them, haha.

Got a call from this number, 90-956-4622, but I have no clue what it was about. When I checked the area code 090, it said it might be from some places in Ireland. They didn’t leave any voicemail or anything. Bit odd, really.

Cant stand these calls from people pretending to be from Windows about some issue with my PC... Even when I tell them I dont own a computer, or ask them not to call again, or straight up say its a scam and put the phone down, they keep ringing! Both men and women keep calling, morning, noon, or night. Anyone know how to block this number? Really getting on my nerves!

I'm getting calls from this exact number and a few other unknown ones too, happening quite a lot. Honestly, no idea how to handle it, just ending the call every time.
