On 17th March 2015, I noticed a couple of really short calls on my phone to 09070180025, one lasting 3 seconds and another 4 seconds, charging me £2.90. Thing is, I didn’t dial those numbers at all, but Vodafone insisted since it showed on my bill, it must’ve been me. To prevent this happening again, I’ve had to block all Premium rate calls on my line. The phone companies seriously need to step up and do more to protect customers from these dodgy charges.

On 28th Feb at about 10.40am, it seems I dialled this number for 14 seconds - O2 charged me £1.67.

When I asked O2, they told me they couldn’t help since it was my call. Thing is, I don’t think I actually rang it - I’d never really dealt with an 09... number before.

Lucky it was just a quick 24-second call, I guess.

Got caught out by this premium line once, it charged me over a pound just for picking up then putting it down again! Seriously, avoid ringing them back if they try you!
