This looks like one of those delivery scam calls, best not to ring back. If you do, you might end up losing more than £300.

East Herts Police told me recently that the number 0906 6611911 is connected to a scam costing people £300. They send a fake "missed delivery" note through your door, then as soon as you ring the number and an answerphone picks up, they charge you that huge fee straight away. I had no idea it could cost so much! Brian from Herts, 9th Oct 2020.

Just a heads up, there’s a scam going around pretending to be from postal services. Better check the official Royal Mail info by googling them directly if you’re unsure! Stay safe folks!

I looked up this number because it keeps popping up every year around the same time, but it was actually disconnected back in 2005. It’s not a working number anymore. If you do a quick Google search, you’ll find plenty of trustworthy info confirming that.

And get this - the phone number they suggest you call to report the scam? It’s a scam too. Both of the numbers on the text are dodgy. Total waste of time.

I recently received a notification on Facebook from a mate warning me about a dodgy scam. It involves a card supposedly regarding a parcel they attempted to deliver. But get this - when you call the number, it ends up costing you a whopping £315! Best to steer clear of that one!

Just a heads up, this is definitely a scam that's been going around Facebook. They claim to be a parcel delivery service and ask for £315 if you call the number. If you happen to receive one of those cards, make sure you contact Royal Mail fraud at 020 7239 6655 to report it. Stay safe!

Has anyone come across something similar? I received a card pushed through my letterbox from a company named PDS (Parcel Delivery Service), claiming they were unable to deliver a package and urging me to call them on 0906 6611911, which is an extortionate premium rate number. Whatever you do, steer clear of that number! It appears to be a scam linked to Belize. The moment you dial in, you'll be hit with a £15 charge just for the automated message that starts to play. Be cautious, folks!

Has anyone else come across these mysterious maps shoved through their letterbox? They’re from a company named "PDS (Parcel Delivery Service)" and imply they've been unable to drop off a parcel. They encourage you to ring them on 0906 6611911 - a premium rate number, mind you! For the love of all things good, don’t give them a bell! It all seems like a con job that traces back to Belize. The moment you pick up the phone and hear that automated message, you'll find yourself racked up with a hefty charge just for the call. Be cautious, folks!

PhonepayPlus has stated that this is not operational, but there's been a letter circulated in our area by Warwickshire Police that seems to tell a different story, mentioning details from HL on 14th October 2008. I can certainly identify someone who has been duped by this scheme, but I'm a bit puzzled about the timing, especially since the number in question is an exact match to this one.

What a complete sham! While it’s true this number has been associated with some dodgy dealings, there’s no evidence of a premium rate line that slaps you with a £15 charge right off the bat. Typically, those premium calls cost around £3 per minute, give or take. I’ve even come across emails claiming you’d rack up a staggering £600 just for ringing this number-utter nonsense! If you look up the PDS scam on hoaxslayer.com, you’ll find it listed there. Best to steer clear and inform others!

Phonepayplus has claimed that the number in question wasn't used, yet a flyer delivered to homes in our area from Warwickshire Police seems to suggest otherwise, presenting a different narrative. It raises eyebrows, especially when you consider the case reported back on 14th October 2008. I’m aware of someone who fell victim to this scam, but I’m uncertain whether this particular number is the same as the one involved in that incident.

This number is just a scammer, sending fake parcel notifications and trying to rip people off. It’s a premium rate line, so be careful and don’t answer. Honestly, it should be shut down or blocked - total waste of time and risky! Watch out!

Beware! Dialling this number will cost you a hefty £350.00. It's wise to steer clear of it!

This whole thing is a complete sham. While it’s true that the number has been involved in some dodgy dealings, there’s no way it’s a premium rate line that suddenly hits you with a £15 fee. Typically, premium numbers hover around the £3.00 per minute mark. I’ve even come across emails asserting that ringing this number could cost you a staggering £600, which is utterly ridiculous! If you have a moment, do check out PDS con on hoaxslayer.com; they’ve documented all of this misinformation.

"Should you dial this number and be greeted by a robotic voice, brace yourself, as you might find a £15 charge slapped on your phone bill! However, let me clarify, this is pure fabrication; it’s simply unfeasible to rack up that kind of charge unless the call lingers on for a full ten seconds at a rate of £1.50 per minute. This whole story stems from a rather old chain email that had a tinge of truth but ultimately turned out to be nothing more than a hoax."
