I had a rather unsettling encounter with a company that contacted me from Mexweb, situated at 35 Aylesbury House, Friary Estate, London, Southwark, SE15 1RW. They seemed a bit suspicious, trying to lure us into a scam by claiming they were interested in purchasing an item we had listed on Gumtree. Curiously, they didn’t identify themselves as this company, but after a bit of digging, we uncovered the address. They were using various aliases like Justin Collins and Jon Maxwell, which certainly raised a few red flags. To top it off, they even sent dodgy PayPal emails. I’ve since reported them to the Metropolitan Police.
