I went through our statement and noticed a peculiar charge of £6.15 for a mere 8-second call that we definitely didn’t initiate. It seems to me like a dodgy scam - you know, where you pick up the phone only to hear a pre-recorded spiel or someone probing about accidents? You end up incurring charges without even realising it! I reached out to our telecom provider, but alas, they couldn’t offer any real help, only suggested signing up for BT Shield to fend off these tricky scams.

It appears that the number in question is linked to THEM Telecom, located at 20-22 Wenlock Road, London, and listed with Companies House under the number 10475191. I’ve found that this number was auto-dialling in the background while I was using my mobile, resulting in charges of £6.55 per call, to the best of my knowledge. Just yesterday, I rang Three's customer service on 333 to raise my concerns about this number appearing on my latest bill. While I was on the call, I accidentally touched the screen and noticed this premium number was also active, even though I hadn't manually dialled it. Three couldn't shed any light on how this occurred, so I've decided to block all premium numbers coming in or going out. It seems to me that this could very well be fraudulent activity, especially considering that THEM Telecom lacks any form of website, phone number, or email contact facility.

It seems I've been charged £6.55 for a call I never made to this number. Quite the swindle, I reckon! Just another scam in the making, if you ask me.

It seems I've been erroneously billed £9.50 for a supposed call lasting around four minutes to this number at 3:13am on a Saturday night. The thing is, I never actually made that call!

I can't recall ever ringing this number. I've no idea who it belongs to, but I’ve certainly been hit with a charge for what feels like a rather unpleasant surprise!
