I recently had an encounter with a chap named Marc who decided to ring in. He managed to ruffle my salesperson's feathers to such an extent that I felt compelled to step in. After digging into the various names and addresses he was associated with, as well as scouring a handful of reviews linked to his phone number, I made the decision to steer clear of doing any business with him, especially given the multiple aliases tied to that number. Since that call, he’s taken to bombarding me relentlessly-ringing me every three minutes, no less! His threats about ruining my online business within six months have been quite something. The only recourse I've found is to simply hang up each time he calls. In light of his behaviour, I've decided to take action and am reaching out to his local police, zoning enforcement, tax authorities and so on. This bloke is certainly about to get the attention he’s brought upon himself!

That cheeky lot got me as well - I forked out a fiver for a swift look-up after I received my speeding fine. Can't the DVLA do something about this absolute nonsense?

I’ve fallen into the same trap, I'm afraid. £35 for just four calls that barely lasted 10 minutes is absolutely outrageous! It feels like daylight robbery to me, and I'm certain the DVLA is fully aware of this scandal. Something definitely needs to be done to rectify this - it shouldn’t be allowed to continue! And to top it all off, it was my daughter merely verifying she was adhering to the regulations!

I can't believe these dodgy chaps hit me with a £48 bill for a mere quarter of an hour! What a rip-off!

I called the DVLA regarding a mistake they made, and while I was speaking to a representative, they put me on hold. Now I've noticed a staggering £48.42 charge on my bill for an 18-minute and 58-second call! Moreover, I've racked up additional costs for having to call back to the same number. It’s utterly ridiculous!

I've fallen victim to these vile creatures - they truly are a plague. Can you believe, an 11-minute chat cost me a staggering £20.23? I was merely trying to inquire about my personalised number plate, a thoughtful gift for my wife. Absolutely despicable! I honestly can’t recall how I even stumbled upon this number in the first place.

Absolutely outrageous! I was charged £26 for a mere 10-minute conversation with these crooks. They ought to be taken to court for their dodgy practices!

I must stress, this is not the DVLA itself; rather, it’s an intermediary directing you to them, and while it may not be illegal, it’s certainly a questionable practise. If you’re after the official contact details, do visit their legitimate website at www.dvla.gov.uk. Just scroll down to the bottom of the page where you’ll find their number: 0300 790 6806. Calls to 0300 numbers are charged at standard landline rates, which may even be complimentary if you have a bundle that covers them-common on most mobile contracts nowadays. And really, let’s be a bit more discerning in the future! What sense would it make for the DVLA to operate a premium-rate line?

I can't believe I've just been charged £3.38 for a mere 17-second call! Talk about daylight robbery! I did a quick search for the DVLA contact number and stumbled upon this one instead. Honestly, these practices ought to be investigated - it feels downright fraudulent to me!

I happened to dial this number too, and I was astonished when it set me back £5.11 for a mere four minutes. Quite frankly, I feel utterly robbed!

I recently dialled the number linked to the DVLA on 30th July 2013, hoping to get some guidance on obtaining a fresh driving licence for a jaunt to America. After navigating through an automated system, I finally got to chat with an advisor after about 6 minutes. To my surprise, they directed me to the AA for the information I needed. Now, I’ve just seen my phone bill, and I’m astounded to find that for a 7-minute call, I've been slapped with a bill of £16.87! Who might I approach to lodge a complaint about this outrageous charge?
