Got a text from DPS saying they tried to call me, but I was in all day and never got a ring! I tried phoning the £3 number they gave me for the driver, but no answer. This feels like a total con and needs to be shut down. When you buy stuff online, you don’t always know who’s dropping it off! Watch out for this lot!

Honestly, the worst bit is these scammers now have your phone number, email, and maybe even more details, setting you up for loads of scams down the line. Calling that 09 number might not cost much, but the trouble it could cause is way worse. I’d suggest having a look at some of the older comments for advice on what to do next. Just blocking the number won’t fix the problem.

Got a text from DPS saying i missed a delivery. I ended up losing £3 trying to call back but no one answered. Then the voicemail said the driver had finished their shift just a couple seconds after the message came through. Checked their website and nothing works no matter what i press. The tracking number they sent me doesn't even exist, so pretty pointless all round.

Could this be the ultimate scam? Been seeing lots of helpful comments lately explaining just how dodgy this scam really is, why it’s still going strong, and what needs doing to stop it. A few posts from 29th December sum it up perfectly.

I clicked the link cos I'm waiting on some parcels, then tried ringin the number but didn’t have enough credit. Since I clicked the link, is there a chance they can get other info from my phone? It took me to a UPS-like site and asked me to log in with Facebook or Amazon and stuff. I ended up logging in with my Facebook.

Can we stop with the constant posts about that £3 scam already? Everyone's aware by now. There’s plenty of comments below explaining to those caught or worried what steps to take and why this scam ain’t just about losing a few quid and getting annoyed.

I clicked on the link since I was expecting some parcels to arrive. I tried calling the number but my phone credit didn’t allow me to buy credit cause of the link. Can they get any other info from my phone? It took me to what looked like a UPS site and asked me to log in via Facebook or Amazon, so I logged in using my Facebook.

Do take a minute to check out the comments below before you add your own. These scammers seem to love people ranting on here - but often it’s too late at that point. Either you’ve been caught out or you haven’t. What these dodgy lot really don’t want is for anyone to actually report them. The posts below explain why reporting matters and what steps to take.

Received a text earlier today 31/12/2019 from someone claiming to be DPS Courier saying they had tried to deliver a parcel but no one was in. Complete scam as I was home all day! The message said there’d be a £3 fee if I called the number they gave. Didn’t bother ringing them. If you’re in Northern Ireland, watch out for these fraudsters!

Honestly, it’s clear this is a scam, no need for tonnes of people to keep pointing it out. Check the posts from 29 Dec - they explain how to deal with it and what it really costs us. Instead of moaning, why not actually do something useful to help stop it? That means reading what others have already shared and actually taking some responsibility.

They want you to call a 3 quid a minute number to claim your “package” from driver number 5. The DPS company barely exists online aside from their own site, no Facebook, Twitter, or any proper way to get in touch besides phone or email, which both seem dodgy to me.

Got a message about half an hour ago from some DPS saying they tried to deliver something & asked me to get in touch at [#]wwwdpscourier.services/driver5. I wasn’t waiting on any packages and had a look through my emails - nothing at all. Figured I'd check the tracking number online and, guess what? No trace of it anywhere. Definitely fishy.

Caught out! Just reported it on the Action Fraud police website. Cheers for that! But like others have said, the coppers don’t really do much unless loads of folks report it. I’m also gonna try and see if my phone company can refund me. Appreciate all the tips here - proper useful.

Big thanks to the person who suggested getting in touch with the police - I've just sent an email to their Action Fraud team and filed a report. I'd really recommend others in the same boat to do exactly that.

If these idiots managed to take money from you (£3 might not seem loads but loads of people have been caught out - just think about it) or if they just tried, it doesn’t really matter. Any text telling you to click a link must be reported to the police or NFIB. The posts here explain what steps to take. Have a look at the instructions on the Action Fraud site and follow them.

Yeah, it’s defo a scam. Was waiting for a package today but had no clue which delivery company was sending it. Ended up clicking the link by mistake. Tried calling the number from my phone but luckily Vodafone stopped the call going through. Make sure to report this!

Got a message from DPS delivery bloke using number 0902 253 9974 charging £3 a call. I was waiting for an Amazon parcel and decided to ring the number. Of course, no one picked up. After that I looked up the number and realised it was dodgy. Don’t fall for it, TOTAL SCAM!

Got a call from this number earlier today. Wasn’t waiting on any deliveries. Still, I clicked the link they sent, which took me to a page saying the call would cost £3 plus my network charges. Checked the official DPS tracking, but nothing came up for that parcel. Appreciate the police.uk info - I’ll report this to them and tell my mobile company as well.

DPS said they tried to deliver a package but missed me. Told me to call them back. DO NOT ring them, it’s a scam. I called and got charged £3 plus extra fees.

Got a text saying it’s from DPS about a missed delivery. I’ve never used them or ordered stuff. The link actually makes you call a courier line at £3 a minute, and you gotta hang up right away. Total scam trying to nick money from people. Don’t bother clicking or checking the link. Make sure you report the number straight away.

About quarter of an hour ago got a text from DPS Courier Services. The link looked odd so I googled it and stumbled on these reviews. Lucky I didn’t press the link!

Received a message earlier today. Didn’t reply since I wasn’t waiting for anything and had no clue what dps was. Looked up dps online - turns out they folded ages ago. I looked up the phone number and came across this website. Did my part and flagged it as a phishing scam to the police and also reported it through the action fraud site to nfib. Guess if tens of thousands of folks had already flagged it, maybe the police would’ve acted by now. The UK police action fraud portal is actually quite informative once you explore it.

Had a look through the posts from the past few weeks, some solid tips here. Definitely gonna follow them. We really need to find a way to shut down these dodgy gangs. I’ve got a bit of an idea about how action fraud operates and honestly, these scammers don’t care much if a few cases get logged because they reckon nothing much will come of it. But if every single one of their calls, texts, or emails were reported, it might actually give them a headache. I was lucky not to click on the dodgy link myself, but I made sure to report it. Just hoping loads more people do the same!

It’s not just about losing £3, your phone number ends up in the hands of dodgy people who probably sell it to other crooks. Anyone who tapped that link should be ready for more scam calls coming their way. Basically, these scammers are making it a double win for themselves. Action Fraud does team up with police in other countries to shut these cons down, but because of limited funds, they usually only step in if loads of people report the same scam or number.

Got a dodgy message, says I’ll be charged £3 if I click the link in it. Total scam, don’t fall for it!

I’ve been wondering the same thing. If we click the link, does it actually do anything bad? Like, is it safe to enter our passwords and stuff or should we just avoid it altogether?

Total scam, tried to pull a fast one on me but I wasn’t having any of it. I looked up this number here and read quite a few comments about it being linked to fraud. Loads of folks are saying you ought to tell the police’s 'Action Fraud' department and explaining why it’s important to do so. I was shocked at how simple the whole reporting process was. Luckily I didn’t part with any cash, but I still filed a report about the phishing effort. Makes me wonder how many others actually bother to report these calls - I’d guess not many, which is probably why these scams keep going.

Got a text saying they tried to deliver a package, but I was in all day and wasn’t expecting anything. Found it a bit odd so I called the number back, but it went straight to a full voicemail. Then they gave a mobile number, and daft me, I rang that as well! 🤦🏼‍♀️ Turns out it was a scam, and fingers crossed I’ve only lost a few quid, about £3, which isn’t the end of the world but still pretty annoying that I fell for it!

Normally Im not one to get caught up in scams but this morning i got a message about a delivery saying they tried to deliver and missed me, it had a link so i clicked it - big mistake, turned out to be one of those dodgy courier driver scams. Total scam alert!

I got a text from 09022539967 about a supposed parcel, and I wasn’t the only one fooled - about 204 others called as well. It’s cost me around £3 just to check on it. If you add that up, this bloke’s pocketed over £600 from just those calls, and that’s only the ones we actually know about. I reckon it’s multiplied by four or five times more than that in reality. Honestly, he’s raked in more in one day than I earn in a whole month. What a cheek!

So, we received this text from some 'DPS courier service' saying they'd missed us and to call driver number 3 on 09022539967 for a quick delivery. Thing is, we were in all day and nobody came to the door or rang the bell. Then I saw calling that number would cost £3 plus whatever the network charges, which made me think it's a total scam. Honestly, best to just block or ignore it.

With Christmas just round the corner and only a day left for my expected delivery, I got caught up in this scam and lost £3. I tried ringing the number but the driver said they weren’t around. The website was useless too - can’t even get "contact us" right, it was written as “contuct”. Proper rubbish.

Well, that’s quite a cheeky Christmas bonus! I’m one of the 204 folks who called about my package, which has set me back about £3.00. Just from sending a quick text, this guy’s pocketed £612 from those calls we’re actually aware of. Honestly, I’d guess the real figure could easily be four or five times higher. He’s probably earned more in a single day than I do in a whole month.

Got a message saying they tried to reach me but missed me - which is odd cuz I was home the whole morning and didn’t get any calls. I wasn’t even expecting a parcel or anything. Thought about ringing them back but then saw it was a premium rate number. Definitely a rip-off!

Got a text from someone claiming to be DPS earlier today. It said they tried to deliver something but I wasn’t in and told me to sort a new delivery by clicking a link: [#][#]dpscourier.services/driver3, with a tracking number DPS#######. I followed the link and it showed a message saying calls to 09022539967 would be charged at £3 plus whatever my network charges. Felt very dodgy. Definite SCAM alert here! Be careful, folks.

Got a voicemail about a missed parcel, but I wasn’t sure if I was waiting for anything else before Xmas. When I noticed it was a £3 premium call, I thought it sounded dodgy. I looked up the DPS and even checked the tracking code they gave me - it turned out to be fake. Totally a scam. Best thing is to ignore it and block the number straight away.

My husband got a text saying a delivery had failed, but we never ordered anything. He rang the number, and they said they'd attempt another delivery today. I searched online and found their website looked really suspicious. Then I checked here and saw they charge £3.09 plus a network fee just to call them. They even had our postcode! Felt really dodgy, so I'm gonna report it to our phone company and the police.
