Our provider, PlusNet, managed to trace the number, although they couldn’t quite pin down who actually made the call. On the bright side, they’ve agreed to refund the £7.13 cost in next month’s billing cycle. Thank goodness for that!

I've noticed a rather puzzling entry on my wife's phone statement - a call to this number that she has absolutely no memory of making. To top it off, it's a lengthy 24-minute chat that has racked up a charge of £24.25. Quite intriguing, wouldn't you agree?
