Got two calls at 2 in the morning from this same foreign number. Ringed BT to see if I could block it and turns out they do, but it’ll set me back £1.75! Feels like these annoying calls just get a free pass, doesn’t it?

I got billed roughly 60p per minute which was my first time dealing with this kinda thing. At first I thought maybe I dialled something by mistake, but since it was past 11 pm and we usually be in bed by then, I decided to google it and turns out it’s a bit of a scam. I haven’t a clue how to stop the charges though.
Actually, I had a look back over my last year’s bills and noticed it’s not consistent - some months there’s just one call, other times two.
Does anyone know if it actually relates to a burglar alarm or what?

I noticed a charge of about 60p per minute on my bill - this was the first time I’ve come across something like this. At first, I figured I might have made the call myself, but it was well past 11 at night and we’d already gone to bed. So, I looked it up online and realised it’s some kind of scam. Don’t really know how to get it to stop though.

I've recently noticed a charge of £0.53 appearing on my phone bill every 18 days, which I gather is for an alarm monitoring service. It seems to be linked to what used to be Castle Care Tech Ltd, but I think they've rebranded themselves as Castle Care - Pyronix now. Additionally, there could be extra fees for any text alerts sent out. Just thought I’d share!

But turns out, it’s actually charging way more, and nobody told me it was a premium rate number!

I've noticed that roughly every 18 days, there's a call from this number just after midnight, lasting only about 12 seconds. It's starting to annoy me, so I think it's time to block any premium rate numbers from now on.
