I missed the call and called straight back. After leaving a voicemail and staying on the line for just over half a minute, I found out they still charged me £3.50 for the call. Bit of a cheek if you ask me.

This number is a total premium scam, seriously dont ever ring it back. I’d suggest getting in touch with your landline company so they can help block it for you. It’s a really risky scam, and there’s a team trying hard to catch these fraudsters. Just a heads up, keep an eye out and make sure your loved ones stay safe from this.

STAY AWAY AND BLOCK THIS NUMBER ASAP Looks like a premium rate or pay-back call! I’d already got EE to block it from ringing my home phone cause of similar charges before, but it somehow still sneaks through. On my bill, it’s weirdly listed as outgoing calls every single time. My latest bill has 3 calls in just 3 minutes, each costing me £2.80. I spent half an hour chatting with customer services and they said they’ve never seen this before and can’t help me at all! Completely frustrating.

I don’t know this number and still got billed for two calls made to it! Really strange.

EE warned me it was a premium line. I naively rang back for just a few seconds and ended up paying more than £3. Since then, they've gone ahead and blocked all premium numbers on my account.

My mum found a charge for this number on her phone bill, but she swears she never dialled it. Feels like straight up robbery.

If you’ve been caught out, make sure to fill in the victim report form on the police.uk Action Fraud site to report what happened and how much you lost. Have a look at the timings of the calls from that number and see if your phone logs show anything. Was there an incoming call then, and did you ring back afterwards? This might be one of those wangiri scams.

This numbr showed up 4 times on my latest Plusnet invoice, all calls happening almost right after one another, and each one billed at £2.60! Ended up costing me £10.40 in total!! It's marked as “other,” which I have no clue about. I don’t recognise the number at all and would never ring it myself, especially since it’s totally unfamiliar. I’m currently in a bit of a dispute with Plusnet over it, and it’s getting pretty frustrating!! Proper annoyed right now! 😡

I spotted this number on my BT phone statement and have no clue why it’s there since I don’t remember calling it. The bill mentions “service no” and it cost me more than £5. I’m planning to get in touch with BT to figure out what’s going on.

My dad's monthly bill showed two charges from this number. There's no way he called back so quick like that. It ended up costing him £5.48 plus VAT.
