On the 18th of December 2008 at half past twelve, I received a rather dubious call regarding some Twingo prize. I chose not to return the call; instead, I opted to send an email to [email protected] to report it.

Oh, crikey! What a right laugh this is! The age-old trick resurfaces again. My mum, who's hit the grand old age of 80, received a similar dodgy call today from some con artist. Apparently, she'd 'won' a Renault Twingo and was told to ring back on that 09003040090 number. It's as if natural selection was at work centuries ago, filtering out the daft ones who would actually dial such a number! But of course, back then, phones weren't even a thing! Sometimes I reckon I'm surrounded by nothing but numpties. Just goes to show how barmy the social system has become. Cheers, Nic

I received a call this afternoon that set alarm bells ringing. It was a recorded voice repeating a 0900 number three times. Now, I would have loved to win a car, but something didn't sit right with me. In fact, I’ll be getting in touch with the communications regulator about this.

Hi there, I received a rather dodgy message on my answering machine today claiming that I'd won either a Renault Twingo or some sort of cash prize. They wanted me to ring back on 0900/3040090 as they needed to take some further details. Honestly, it felt like a total scam from the get-go, especially after reading about so many similar experiences on here. Quite the cheek, really!

Just a quarter of an hour ago, I received a message saying I’ve won something! They’re asking me to dial 09003040090 to provide some missing information. Quite curious, isn’t it?

On the 2nd of January 2009, at approximately 4:24 pm, I received a rather dodgy call from a computerised voice, claiming I was in line for a Renault Twingo. They requested that I get back to them at 09003040090. Oddly enough, they inquired about a family name that isn't even mine! I urge anyone who comes across this to alert the authorities! My contact number is 0761-270012.

I find myself in a similar boat as M. Sailer! They mentioned that we could have either bagged ourselves a Renault Twingo or a cash equivalent, but I didn’t bother giving them a ring. I mean, why on earth would I suddenly be the owner of a car? Sounds rather dodgy to me! Best to steer clear of it, I reckon!
