I got a call earlier from a guy with an Indian accent, asking if my missus was around. When I told him she was out working, he switched to saying my Virgin Media card would expire in a week. Definitely sounds like a scam to me.

This number just rang me and I was this close to getting fooled. I’ve told my phone provider and also Sky about it because I reckon they got their info from Sky, maybe hacked or something. If enough people report it, maybe they’ll manage to stop it.

I just had this number pop up on my call guardian and after seeing what others said, I hit the block option straight away. My mum is getting on a bit, so having a BT call guardian has really come in handy for keeping unwelcome calls away.

Today I got a call from a man with an Indian accent claiming he was from Sky TV. He asked if there were any pensioners living here so they could get a discount. Then he asked for my bank details, like my sort code and account number. I told him to get lost and later phoned Sky directly to let them know what had happened.

I've been getting loads of calls from this number, always something about my hub or card not working, usually pretending to be Sky. Then sometimes it’s someone from BT saying my hub’s faulty. It’s honestly a nightmare. Even when I try blocking them with GPS or whatever, they somehow find a way to get through. Just wish they'd stop bothering me.

Got a phone call earlier from a woman with an Asian accent claiming she was from Sky TV. She told me my viewing card was going to be swapped out and that my monthly bill would be £19 less! At that moment I suspected it was a scam. It did sound realistic to begin with, so I shared my date of birth but wouldn't hand over my sort code or account number. She got pretty irate and just ended the call on me!

Some bloke called saying he was from Sky, telling me they’d be sending a new viewing card since mine was about to expire. I’ve been a Sky customer for yonks and never had a call about a new card before. He asked for my DOB, which made me suspicious - I asked why he needed it, and he said it was to confirm my identity. Told him Sky had never asked me for that info and I was certain he wasn’t legit. Offered to put him through to Sky as I had a repairman coming round anyway. He hung up on me. Weird thing is, the number he called from was really similar to Sky’s own. I’m definitely going to ring Sky to let them know their name’s being used in another scam.

Got a call from this number, and they already knew my name and address. When they asked for my dob, I gave it, but as soon as they wanted my bank info, i felt uneasy and refused. They claimed they were from sky - total nonsense. It’s mad what’s going on nowadays. Why cant these lot just find proper jobs instead of scamming folks? Looks like it’s always people who’ve worked in call centres before and know how to trick people. So annoying!

These folks kept ringing me, really pushy and somehow they already knew loads about me. I ended up giving them some new info by mistake. Once I figured out what was going on, I tried calling them back but got nothing. Then I contacted Sky and they confirmed it was a scam. I quickly rang my bank and cancelled my card. I told him there’s no way I’m calling that. Looks like a classic scam to me.

He was pretty pushy, but as soon as I told him to just send me a letter from Sky with the new card, he suddenly ended the call. When I tried calling the number back, it didn’t even come up as a valid number!

Got a call from the same number mentioned here. Dunno who they were but better not to share any details. Sky told me it's a scam, so be careful. Still, I’d recommend giving your bank a quick ring to check everything’s alright - they probably know more about your info than those scammers do.

Earlier today I got a call from a bloke called Shane claiming to be from Sky, telling me my viewing card was about to expire. He mentioned an address that turned out to be my old one, which threw me off since I now live next door. I thought maybe I forgot to update Sky with my new details, so I told him the correct address. He then asked for my birthday, which I gave him, but when he wanted my Sky security code, I said no and ended the call. Looking back, I probably shared too much info. Also, it did seem odd that a guy with an Asian accent had an Irish name like Shane.

I got a call from someone saying they were from Sky, telling me I needed a new Sky Q box or something like that. They asked for my bank details including my card number, which felt really dodgy. Got a call from someone with a Far East accent pretending to be from Sky. I said hold on and walked away from the phone. Then I asked for his number and ditched the call again. After a bit, he just hung up. What a rubbish scam, proper pathetic.

I picked up the phone and there was loads of yelling going on behind the line, but nobody actually said anything to me. So I just ended the call.
