The caller claimed our viewing card was on the verge of expiring and insisted on verifying our name, address and even attempted to obtain our sort code. I was cautious and mentioned I didn’t have my banking details readily available. When I inquired about his name and the specific department he represented at Sky, he promptly ended the call. I immediately reached out to Sky, who assured me that they hadn’t made any such calls and that viewing cards don't actually expire. This situation is quite alarming, especially for those who may be more susceptible to such scams. Keep your wits about you!

I received a rather curious phone call recently, claiming to be from Sky. They mentioned that a new viewing card was on its way to me since my current one was on the brink of expiring in a few days. I've been with Sky for yonks, and never once have they called me up about a new card. The chap then asked for my date of birth, which immediately raised my suspicions - I knew right then it couldn’t be Sky. I probed him on why they required that info, and he insisted it was part of their identity verification process. I pointed out that Sky had never asked for such details before and I was quite convinced he wasn’t legitimate at all. I even offered to connect him with Sky, since a repair man was already at my place. Funny enough, he hung up on me! What struck me as particularly fishy was how the phone number was alarmingly similar to Sky’s official one. I’ll be dialling Sky up shortly to inform them that they’ve been targeted yet again by these con artists.

I recently received a phone call from this number, and to my surprise, they already had my name and address. When they requested my date of birth and bank details, I began to feel quite uneasy. I expressed my discomfort, and they claimed to be representing Sky. It's utterly absurd what’s going on these days! Why can’t these individuals find honest work like the rest of us instead of trying to con unsuspecting victims? It seems like many of them have past experience in call centres, which just makes it all the more frustrating!

Got a call from someone with a Far East accent pretending to be from Sky. I said hold on and walked away from the phone. Then I asked for his number and ditched the call again. After a bit, he just hung up. What a rubbish scam, proper pathetic.

I’ve got no clue who that was, I never pick up when I don’t know the number. They didn’t even leave a voicemail or anything.
