I gave them a ring, and lo and behold, I was left hanging for what felt like an eternity, only to be continuously put on hold. In total, I was tethered to the phone for a staggering 37 minutes and 20 seconds, and now I've been slapped with a £19.87 charge! All this fuss was just to verify if my tax code was correct.
