I've been receiving a persistent recorded call at my workplace from the number 0871 - 956 - 2540. Whenever I answer, there's never anyone there to engage with. It's quite baffling! I believe this number, along with the company associated with it, deserves a thorough investigation.

I just had a chat with the Financial Ombudsman about a rather dodgy call I received from 08719562562540, purporting to be from Loan to Loan UK Ltd, asking for my banking information to process a loan. Naturally, I didn’t divulge any of my details, especially after they provided me with a fictitious postcode for their alleged office. The Ombudsman informed me that this company doesn’t even exist and advised me to report it to my local police, which I’ve already done. The police suggested that anyone receiving these calls should gather as much information as possible - think websites, contact numbers, trading names, and so forth - and report it to them. We need to put a stop to these scams. Remember, never hand over any banking details to these so-called loan companies!

This number has been incessantly ringing me today, but I’ve chosen to ignore it entirely.

I appreciate the heads-up regarding this situation. We received a call from that number not long ago, but the caller simply ended the conversation abruptly. I've now taken the step to block the number entirely.
