Indeed, I received a call from this number earlier today, and they only rang once before an automated voice picked up but swiftly hung up. When we tried returning the call from our office line, we encountered a rather impersonal answering machine. It seems likely that these callers aren’t charged for unanswered calls, leading us to believe they might profit from every ring they've managed to get through. Quite a crafty little scheme, if you ask me!

We've received a call from this number as well - it barely lasted a second before it cut off after just one ring. When I tried calling back, all I got was a voicemail message, clearly a ploy to rack up charges for the callback.

I’ve been trying to find out who oversees these numbers and it feels like I’m going in circles! I’ve been on the phone with Ofcom, the Information Commissioner, and the folks over at phonepayplus.org. in the UK. Finally, I’ve opted to lodge a complaint with the last one.

I received a call at 16:54 today but regrettably missed it. The phone only buzzed once, leading me to believe the caller was hoping for a return call. Unfortunately, since I wasn't familiar with the number, I didn't ring back.
