We've been receiving calls on our mobile regarding loans, claiming that our application has been approved, yet we haven't actually applied for anything. Has anyone else had similar experiences or know who's behind these calls?

We've received the exact same call and initially started sharing some details. It soon became apparent that they were completely clueless about us. Clearly, it was just a bogus call-felt very much like a scam to me.

Got a call from this number but it just rang once and then cut off. Feels like it could be one of those premium numbers, so I've gone ahead and blocked it on my phone.

This number keeps ringing me up, asking for someone called "Ingus Birks." It's really annoying, especially since we've had the TPS registered for ages and haven't had bothersome calls for years. We've never even come across that name before!

These folks have been phoning me pretty much twice every day. Being retired, it really gets me all upset. I've never taken out a loan, not once. So seriously, who are these people and what's the deal with their calls? I’ve already flagged them with BT's nuisance call team.
