I discovered to my surprise that I had been billed three times over consecutive days for calls that I certainly did not place to this number. Upon further inquiry, I came across information indicating it's linked to a scam! Thankfully, BT sorted out the issue and refunded me the excess charges.

Got a call from someone who claimed to be with Compare Cover, asking all sorts about life insurance. When I asked them why they needed the info, they got a bit rude and just ended the call. The number showed up as 01784 303504, but it also linked to 0871 918 9188.

I noticed this number appeared twice on my phone statement, both calls lasting just a few seconds and made on the same day. I’m pretty sure I didn’t call it myself since I always avoid numbers that might cost extra. My guess is the call was forwarded from another number that I returned to find out who had tried to get hold of me. Be careful and don’t pick up if you get a call from it - it seems like it’s connected to some sort of scam!

Earlier today, I received a call from the number 01869737981. It was claimed to be Sky, discussing my internet speeds. I must admit, I fell for their spiel and ended up revealing quite a bit of personal information-what a blunder! There were three individuals on the line, which made their story seem credible, with me being transferred to a so-called senior manager. Foolish me! In the end, they managed to extract £99 from my bank account. Fortunately, I had a nagging feeling something was off, so I disconnected and promptly reached out to my bank. Got a txt on my phone from 7306417325 claiming it was DPD saying they tried to deliver somethin and I needed to book a new delivery at http;//dpd.ref5812[###]. I called that first number back and got a voicemail telling me to ring 08719189188. Pretty sure it’s a scam cause I wasn’t expectin any parcel from DPD. Also, I didn’t call that 087 number - no way I’m lettin them track my number like that!

I’ve been getting loads of calls from UK service plan limited about renewing my washing machine insurance. After loads of pestering, I ended up giving them my three digit code, and it ended up costing me £99! Honestly, these people are proper scammers and don’t take no for an answer.

Got a call from 01395 803280, which is based around Budleigh Salterton in Devon. I picked up but all I got was silence. Got a letter through the door from someone called ‘Emma’ saying she wanted to buy my house and to call 020 3012 3026. I rang it, but just got a message saying the number wasn’t working and I should ring 0871 918918 instead. That’s when I looked this site up. Glad I did - turns out they’re dodgy little scammers.
