I had a chat with a bloke from "Kelly" regarding tenant loans, who pitched a rather tempting loan service. He mentioned an APR of 23.1%, yet he seemed hesitant to proceed with that, assuring us he could unearth a better deal. He wanted a fee of £49.50 for his services, and, regrettably, we took the bait. A short time later, we received an offer from FLM (a company under the same financial umbrella as Tenant Loans) at an eye-watering 48.5%. Then, to add to our horror, another offer from Provident came through with a staggering APR of 189% - marvellous, right? I strongly advise steering clear of these chaps, as well as Advantage Loans, since they are all interconnected. Exercise extreme caution!
