We received a message that was left on our answer machine, urging our daughter to call that 0871 number using a reference number. The message mentioned a bloke named Patrick Ozarky, insisting that she should get in touch at her earliest convenience. To be honest, we're not keen on doing it. BT has mentioned that these characters often include 0870 numbers as part of their 'all-in' offers, but it's unclear if that applies to 0871 numbers as well.

As previously stated, I ended up leaving a reference number for them to refer to. I certainly never made a call to them - clearly a scam!

I ended up sending a message to a landline that belongs to Patrick, who claims to be associated with IKEA. I'm really reluctant to call an 0871 number because I'm not sure if there are hidden costs involved. To be honest, I'm wary since BT recently updated their policies, so it’s all quite confusing.
