I've been getting calls from this number, 08718237527, and it’s becoming quite a nuisance. We receive at least three of them each day! Plus, there's often a call from 07818237530 on Fridays. We foolishly decided to return the call when we were at home, but now I’m left wondering who’s behind it all. Just to let you know, I’m on an O2 pay-as-you-go plan. Anyone else experiencing the same?

Just discovered that what I thought was a standard number turned out to be a premium rate one! It seems now they’ve figured out how to slap an 08 prefix on these scams, which is quite dodgy. A straightforward fix would be to block all premium rate numbers from both landlines and mobiles. That way, if you try to ring back and get a message saying it's barred, you’ll know you’ve been had by a scam after all.

I've received a call from this number that interrupted my sleep (I work evenings), and it's been rather annoying! Absolutely DO NOT, and I cannot emphasise this enough, return a call to this number. It's a complete scam. I’m part of the customer service team at Vodafone and honestly, I receive a flood of complaints about this particular number. No matter which network you’re on, get in touch with your provider immediately if you happen to receive a call from them. Just don't pick up again!
