Had a quick ring at this number, and lo and behold, the moment we called it back, we were greeted by a voicemail message. It seems rather fishy, doesn’t it? We suspect they are intentionally trying to entice us into calling back, presumably to rattle up some charges. It’s rather dodgy, as they could be raking in profits from unsuspecting individuals caught in this little scheme.

I spotted a missed call from 08718209774 on my mobile - it didn’t even bother to ring, to be honest! I tried dialling it back from our BT landline, using 141 to mask my number, but it was completely dead on the other end; not a peep, not a voicemail, nothing at all. It seems like a clear attempt to cash in on unsuspecting callers. The big question is, how did they get hold of our number in the first place? Just the night before, I had sent a text to the Channel 5 competition line from my mobile. Could there be a link to Channel 5 in this?

We received a call from this number earlier today, and as soon as we tried to return the call, there was absolutely no ringing tone or any sounds at all! Quite peculiar, isn't it?
