I received a recorded message from “Buchannan, Clark & Wells,” who are apparently some sort of debt collection agency. They asked us to call back on the number 0871 7001590. The funny thing is, we don’t have any outstanding debts that we’re aware of, and they rang us on a business line. We’re with O2, so we suspect there could be a connection there since we know they sometimes have dealings with these folks. To put it simply, if they genuinely need to get in touch, they ought to send us a letter or have someone call us directly. There’s no way we’re ringing back that 0871 number at 10p a minute! No thanks!

Received a rather robotic message from "Buchannan, Clark & Wells," which strikes me as quite a few debt collectors. They've asked us to return their call at 0871 7001590. We don't have any knowledge of the debts they're referencing, and they contacted us on our business line. I’m with O2, and it seems like these chaps have been reportedly involved before. If they genuinely want to discuss anything with us, it would be far more sensible for them to send us something in writing or have a real person call. I'm certainly not inclined to ring back a number like 0871, especially when it costs ten pence a minute!

We've recently received a letter from these individuals claiming that we owe in excess of £600 for an Orange account we opened more than a year ago. We are quite certain that our account is settled, and we even possess the evidence to support that. However, these people are insisting otherwise. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to handle this situation?

We recently received a letter from these individuals claiming we owe over £600 to Orange, dating back more than a year. It's rather puzzling, as we've had our account sorted out long before this and don't recall any outstanding balance. Furthermore, the correspondence lacks any substantial evidence backing their claims. Has anyone had a similar experience? Any advice on how to handle this situation would be appreciated!

I received a call from these individuals on Tuesday, supposedly linked to our parents' former address. They were insistent about some outstanding payment for an ancient Wanadoo account managed by Orange. However, that account had been shut down for over three years, and now they claim there's still a debt! It seems that Orange has a habit of hastily passing along their troublesome old accounts to debt collection agencies without any proper follow-up. Quite the shambles, if you ask me!
