I just had a call from these blokes, but I didn't catch it in time. I’m on a Vodafone contract and wasn’t under the impression that I’d signed up for any services recently. It appears they might have acquired a list of numbers from somewhere. When they ring loads of people and only a handful bother to call back, it’s likely they make a tidy profit from this scheme. It would be brilliant if telephone providers could collaborate to keep 0871 numbers and other premium ones hidden when they ring out, so that folks aren’t accidentally dialling them back and racking up hefty bills.
